According to CI we could snap him up on a free: http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=517 Another young player who I'm sure would fit well into NP's plans but I'm not sure about the clarity of the 'free agent' status claimed in the article. As far as I can see he is still a Manchester City player. Good capture if he is indeed available on a free.
Pearson said in his post match interview that Etuhu is a free agent. No decision has been made on him yet and they're hoping to get him a game in the reserves this week. He also leaked that the club are 'highly likely' to bring in another player on loan before the forest game, a wide player with a little pace was the description he used.
I imagine he wouldn't expect a massive wage, despite coming from Man City, as he wasn't overpaid in the first place. Oh, fair enough, HCHKR, I hope we strike a deal soon then.
Just read about that what is it with footballers and always wanting a fight. Do we really need a marlon king (so annoyed he is still doing well for himself).
Ince's refusing to sign a new contract at Anfield but Liverpool are refusing to send him out on loan unless he signs. A seems a bit strange to me but could get him on for little at the end of the season if he's half decent.
Looks a similar player to Stewart but left footed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyPrLK2kvHM&feature=related
good work NP, he realises that Stewart gave us that certain "je ne sais quoi.." so hopefully Tom Ince can re-ignite the spark.. looks skillful on the clip
Kelvin Etuhu hasn't exactly scored many only 3 goals in English football (2 for Rochdale).. not a Manucho hopefully..? plus he's had ankle injuries blighting his career.. a big question for me. still he's only 22..
Well we got a written apology from them. Did we even go in for Ayala a second time? Hopefully they won't have a problem, but he seems the winger we need. Imagine next season with him and Stewart on both wings.
don't see why not, Woy isn't there now plus Ince isn't a PL squad player he's a reserve.. would be good for both parties..
He'd give us something different up front though, a bit of height and strength. Wouldn't cost much so may be worth a short-term deal.
I think the Etuhu deal is just a bit of a punt, we offer him a chance to prove himself between now and the end of the season, if he doesn't, then he's history, it's not going to cost us much and there will be an automatic cancellation of his contract if he gets banged up next month. Ince is still unproven, but is highly rated and he needs regular football, so it would make sense for both parties. I'd still rather we went for a Greening type character in the middle, these talented kids are good, but we really need an older head in the middle of the park.
I'd rather going with kids after what we've had with Ash, Bullard etc. Although I think that we may need an experienced hard tackler in the middle of midfield.
