This one slipped under the wire Keith Burt has been appointed our new chief scout, ex Nottingham Forest...

    The development side goes on.....

Ex-Nottingham Forest head of recruitment comes on board.

Keith Burt has been appointed the club’s new Lead Scout.

He heads to Ashton Gate following seven seasons in the Head Of Recruitment role at Nottingham Forest.

Burt has previously worked with head coach Sean O’Driscoll at the City Ground and boasts a vast network of contacts.

And he will head up the club’s player recruitment team, as well as viewing games and scouting potential new signings.

O’Driscoll commented: “Recruitment is the most important element and I think Keith’s appointment is important now and will be important for years to come.

“I’ve known Keith a long time and his track record speaks for itself.”

City executive director Doug Harman said: “Keith’s appointment is another important piece of the jigsaw.

“He will significantly improve our player recruitment process, which is one of the five key pillars which the club has focused upon.

“He will work closely with the Board and Sean, who he knows from his Forest days, to strengthen our scouting and player recruitment operation.”
