Keiron Dyer's injury hell continues at QPR LUCKLESS Keiron Dyer is set to be out of the QPR reckoning until Christmas at the earliest. The midfielder turned defender suffered a relapse this week over an ankle injury sustained just three minutes into the season â and worse still â a new injury has added to his woes. The distraught former England international has been forced to strap on a leg brace again, but boss Neil Warnock will stand by the 32-year-old no longer how long his return. The manager was more guarded about a date for Dyerâs return, but admitted the player was in deep trouble. âItâs not looking good for Keiron,â said Warnock, âand it looks as if he will need a lengthy rehab. âThere seems to be new ligament problem at the front of his foot, and he has been in a lot of pain. âI feel for the lad, especially after the training and effort heâs made to get back.â Dyer was signed on a free in the summer from West Ham after proving to his new manager he was fully recovered from a variety of injuries restricting the 33-cap player to just 30 appearances in four seasons. But practically his first tackle in a hoops shirt at the opening-day defeat to Bolton required Dyer to hobble off. Warnock added: âThere has been talk we should maybe think of finding Keiron another club at Christmas, bearing in mind we have a number of new players. âBut I would like to keep him until the end of the season â he deserves that at least.â Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest QPR news. iReader http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...injury-hell-continues-at-qpr-82029-29554389/?
All the jokes about sicknotes etc aside I do feel sorry for him. He is a very talented player who has been plagued by injury but as Neil says he tries hard. Does he get a basic salary or is he on pay as you play only? Our squad is already shallow as it is.
The legacy of Flav and Bernie lives on. Warnock had no choice but to take risks such as signing a known crock lilke Dyer given the failure to invest but that is now inevitably coming back to haunt him (he did have the option not to ship out Hill so readily however). I have a bad feeling that '3 minutes' will be a record that will turn up in the annals of disasterous acquisiitions in the future alongside the likes of Ned Zelic.
Phew! He won't get much for 3 mins. Still, at the rate that footballers get played, I'd probably have to work a month or more for it.
Didn't we bring him in to test the medical facilities, I for one think his doing a fine job of it, don't want to get in a state like Man utds medics !! Shame really especially as we could do with him at the moment.
I think its about time the people who said we'd stay up (even mid-table) with the hotch-potch of Ch'ship sloggers and freebies we had at the start of the season come clean and admit they had it wrong. Its clear to see that that squad would have been slaughtered and anyone who thinks otherwise are deluded beyond belief.
Dyer-bolical blokes a waste of space, I remember him smoking £50 notes in a nightclub queue in Ipswich, get rid of him we owe the arrogant waster nothing!

Rubbish you know very little about footy swords name the team that finished against villa how many from last years team ? People forget that and the newbies aren't setting the world on fire yet ... Norwich doing well also with a squad from League One I will always agree to disagree on this it's about a team not just one player
If we spent 100m then swords would still moan it takes time to adjust and we will we have got rid of real risks and replaced with now with a decent blend still we will want more I bet we get Rio in Jan to play with brother . Mackie will kick on now with JB looking good for eighth
Dyer was always a gamble so what move on toss pots We can't go backwards Get on with it Frickle lads what gave you become
Fair play to ye '999! Oddball, the team against Villa had SW Phillips, Barton, Traore, Ferdinand, Young etc. Those additions to the squad are what makes us competitive. Without them we would have been fu*ked. Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge could see that. As for me not being happy with 100m invested, you're outta your mind Odders! I'm over the moon with the additions we made before the window closed; great business. All I ever wanted was a decent amount of investment to give us a chance and we got that from big Tony and Mr Bhatia. As for Norwich still being a League One team? They spent more than us last season and the same amount this season. Only a few players have survived. Oddball, you're the greatest thing since Hanniball Lecter but you've got this one wrong ye lunatic!
