I think he's a good signing. He suffered a bit from being mentioned in the aftermath of losing Dembele, but adding Richardson gives us some much needed depth at both left back and on the wing.

He's not a superstar, but I think he will add to the squad.

I remember him scoring a great goal against us a few years ago. Great shot.
Hopefully he can repeat some of his performances for us.

Not sure what to make of this signing, I don't feel we need improvements in the positions he can fill. I will however reserve judgement until he has played a few games for us.

He's not an improvement, per se. But neither Duff nor Riise is going to play 40+ games for us this year and Richardson covers both their position. And, as Madness said, he does have a good shot on him.

Sounds like from the interview he is going to play in midfield, hoping to score goals (more the merrier).

Jol has said he sees him as a winger, so he's probably cover for Duff, as Surly says.

    This.

I remember when he was first coming through at United, and again when he was on loan at West Brom, he looked great. I suspect he's a more experienced option on the left (ahead of Kaca and Frei) rather than cover for Duff on the right. When we signed him I thought it would be for left back, but as Jol says he's going to play mostly as a winger, that suggests otherwise. Good signing.

Good signing, closer to family etc. This makes a big difference IMO.

Decent little signing you got there.

    Nowt spectacular but decent.

Cheers, Commachio. You've had a good week as well - for me Adam Johnson is possibly the signing of the window, and I'm a big fan of Steven Fletcher too. I was hoping we were going to go for him until the price got a bit silly. He'll get plenty of goals for you though. Best of luck for all-but-two of your matches.

I must admit I’m not his biggest fan but he done OK today, when we were very poor. I can see him being more are a squad player than a starter but he is experienced in the PL.

From today’s impression I was presently surprised

Agreed TMHAF, although I'm not convinced he was all that comfomfortable in the position he played, despite what Jol says. Mind I thought the whole team lacked balance today.

Oh thank God. I was worried he was going to be a waste of space.
