Sorry to be negative - but why would a quality keeper like Gordon drop into the Championship when there will be Premier League clubs after his signature, plus let's not forget his wages (probably earning more than any current Hull player). The name from that story which we probably will sign on a permanent deal is Trevor Carson. But until we get the new manager in place we will not be solving any problems.
Not a hope in hell, I can see Villa going for him to challenge Given, or even Everton or Liverpool as back up. There are far too many options before he would even consider dropping into a team in the NPC, then of course there's Scotland & European options.
If Nick Barmby had still been in charge, it would have been the availability Ounmare (etc) that would have been of more interest

He's never fit anyway, he only managed one game last season and he's only managed 94 appearances in the 5 years he's been there, they reckon he's cost them nearly £200k a game.
I saw that Southampton have released Bartosz Bialkowski, always though he looked solid, still suite young and has featured for the saints this season. Worth having as a back up?
Surprised nobody has started a rumour seeing as we need a keeper and he needs a job with there unlikely to be many offers coming his way. So Im starting one.
I reckon he'll end up at Arsenal as back up. If we could get a good quality number 2 and the money was right then he'd be a good signing because he's quality when fit, but I don't think he'll ever be as good as he was when he first signed.
Carson is a good GK based upon the reports of some Mackem mates - only released as he has a glass back too
