Good to see Hessy keeping his options open re keeping duties.

If Gazza has done enough to be first choice then so be it. He seems to have the credentials on the build front, the kicking front and the stopping front. Regardless of his age, if he's good enough etc.... It all adds up to good competition and will spur Mr Flitney into sharpening up his act. (if I had been picked to play for the Gills I'd have left the night before to ensure getting there or anywhere in order to play). So being stuck in traffic just smacks of bad planning (and a poor positional sense).

I prefer Gazza but think they both dont have enough experience. Flitney has more but not in league football. I will give him a chance to show us what he can do before i judge

I think Flitney will just be picked ahead of Gazzaniga as he has played in the majority of friendlies and already has league experience.

On a slightly separate note, Dean Brill has been snapped up by Barnet on a 1 year deal.

Dean Brill is obviously not for us. Hess would of signed him if he wanted him, your not telling me he just lost out to Barnet!

I won't lose any sleep about not signing Dean Brill. The only Brill bit about him is his name. I thought he was pants when we had him on loan a few seasons ago
