Am i the only one who is getting pissed off hearing this every week? how can my faith be questioned when for 40 odd years iv'e supported this club.I as all of us know things don't happen over night but give it a rest with this "faith" crap it's old hat.
After nearly half a century of supporting the Rs disappointment is a natural state. Keep the faith for what? We ALWAYS f*ck it up and they're continuing our proud tradition...
Does anyone else feel that we are just not meant to be in the premier league?. I just think its no meant to be
the thing is someone has to go down and unfortunately 2013 is your turn.....ps with reading and probably wigan...
Easy to be philosophical when your team is not in the frame for the drop! Ever heard of Job's comforters?!
wigan won 7 out of 9 games to stay up and when arry saved portsmouth they went on a great run for the last 10 games so dont give up hope.
We need to win 10 games, quite possibly less. Far from over yet, but would be nice to start picking up a few points soonish, before I have an aneurysm.
It matters not whither we play at manchester utd or Barnsley to me in all honesty All I require from my club is a good day out, win lose or draw; a pie & pint with the lads in some far flung northern outpost
I must admit I am ready to throw in the towel I have seen this all before too but this time around it just feels worse we have really missed the oppertuity to grow as a Premiership team and I can not see us back in this for many years to come if we don't beat the drop, which is highly unlikely! I'm honestly stopping today, as I get too frustrated and pissed off and there are other things in life that are far more important where I need to be at my best and watching and supporting this crap doesn't help so it must end, bye bye.
Have to admit mate that there will be soul searching before renewing the ST if we do go down - mainly because the thought of 23 drags down to Loftus Road is underwhelming. But I would certainly go to many more away games. What I require from this bunch is some pride, fight and dignity from now on. With that we have a decent chance, because this league is full of dross.
It's only 6 points and then better the rest Unfortunately 2 more wins to pull level seems to be beyond us
Christ guys we jacks have been in a much worse position than you are in and i never once said i would give up on my club. a few seasons back we were 20 minutes from going out of the league and look at us now. We went from the old first division back to div4 and we bounced back but not once if you are a true fan would give up on your team...OK its not looking good at the moment and the odds on you staying up are very slim but someone has to be relegated and its not the end of the world if it happens, we will get relegated at some point but i would never dream of giving up on my club. I would turn up in all weathers like a bad penny whatever division we were in, I have done for over 50 years, so the moral of the story is you are the life line of your chosen club and where managers and players leave its the fans who stay loyal whether its in the premiership or non league....everyone has good times and everyone has bad times and a good loyal fan will still support their club...
The problem is who wants to pay money to see the likes of Bosingwa stroll around clearly uninterested, whilst probably earning more in a week for dong so, than most fans earn in a year. Given that our wage bill equates apparently to almost double our turnover, we have a hugely loss making and unsustainable business as it is, let alone after relegation. Unless TF and co have seriously deep pockets (and I doubt TF has) this failed experiment could well see Mr Hocking (our previous administrator) back in office and us having more than just Harry in common with Portsmouth.
That's a great post Dai. I like you feel the same way as you do about my club. But I think what a lot of R's fans find galling is the lack af effort and application from the players. Notice I said players instead of team. That's the key point, we are not a team. anotherwatfordR just above me also makes his point well. I can take the defeats and even subsequent relegation if deserved, but only if the team gives their all and goes down fighting. Our bunch of mercenaries won't even give us that.
