Keep the faith with what we've got

PLEASE don't let us waste money on panic buys like Bendtner or Elmander or the like today...that really would put the tin hat on a ****ty day!!
Let's all just remind ourselves, us sensible fans (yes WUMS, there are some of us), we all said at the start of this season that we'd be happy to finish 17th. With the squad we have now, minus the ponytailed Judas (had to get a dig in there) we WILL stay in this league.
I'd rather finish 17th this year, and use the next few months to indentify high quality players, than finish in the top half and lumbered with some crap we never really wanted in the first place. We have to take a longer-term view of how to recover from this debacle.



And I've one thing to say to Carroll.....................beware the revenge of Tiote !!

What top class striker comes to a club who are happy to finish 17th? Persevere with Ranger, we are as good as safe and we have enough to acheive 10 more points then push on and reinvest.

 

Smudge - just saying we weren't expecting great things this season - I'd rather keep the 35m and invest it wisely for NEXT season than waste a big wodge of it now on a panic buy that doesn't work out. We've got a good squad, and if we get the right additions in we could have a very good squad for the next 3 or 4 years..IF anybody comes in in the next couple of hours, MUST be a loan so we can judge them before doing anything permanent.

not panic buying is one thing - however what about the effect on moral of the remaining players yet to sign an imminent contract......?

thou i do hope we dont panic buy but fat controller will probaly spill some crap about using money in summer when in fact he wont
