I find it very strange - he put up with so much ****e for a year with no money and when he finally spends a bit and has the team up there, throws in the towel.

Fair play to the guy for lasting this long though.

Yes, I have respect for him - it looked like he went through more than most.

The Blackburn fans have been a disgrace. A manager going to training and match days with a bodyguard is a disgrace. Keen certainly has fortitude and thick skin. But that's no way to treat someone. They would have been better off getting behind the team and their management. Fans my ass!! They don't deserve to be back in the EPL for a fair few years as punishment.

There are reports that at his last meeting with the Venkeys he was told who should be playing in the team ...

... now where have I heard that before?

Not entirely sure from reading about this in The Times this morning that he hadn't received a helping hand in writing his resignation

Reported that the Venkys were very worried about falling attendances

Did they not consider this when buying the club?

Very good Andy (reminds me of your old stuff)!

Thing is, Keen's more likely to have been the active party in his resignation. Biding his time I reckon. Wouldn't have got many offers after relegation. With Blackburn well up there on the back of a few good results this term, his stock's that much better now.
