    Here's the thing:

We know that Mike is untrustworthy.
We know that Mike is trying like hell to recoup his cash.
We know that if an offer came in tomorrow from Gaddafi that Mike would consider it.
    He's the devil.
    He's a cad.
    He's a liar.
    He's the evil incarnate.
    He's a fat git but...

Hell; we have to live with hope that a tiger can change it's spots until the Gadaffi money is in the bank...

Do I take it that you don't like our beloved owner?

I think he's doing us a favour by putting more pressure on Ashley to spend the money.

    Well done KK.

Cant be very reassuring to the likes of Barton, who is putting off talks until he sees who we sign.

Keegan said on ESPN when Pardew took over that Ashley doesn't keep his word. He says one thing but means another. If Ashley did tell Pardew he'd get all of the £35m to spend, I think Pardew should take it with a pinch of salt.

Don't but a football club when you were looking at buying a prosperous business in the North East that promised a lot of growth; also known as Greggs...

Well now the onus is on Ashley to prove he's changed. If not, Keegan is right and we're pretty much screwed until I make my billions with my new invention

I think/hope that Mike Ashley has turned a corner. The club seems to be on the right path at the moment, however we will only really be able to confirm this after the transfer window.

i just can't stand it when disgruntled ex players/managers (and in Keegans case rightly so) come out when we're doing well and try and piss on our parade ..i mean is there any need

Mike seemed to have gone the entire CCC season and a large swathe of this season doing no wrong and we all thought that the corner had been turned yet Hughton was sacked after a successful stint. We wait to see how the Pardew tenure works out if results take a down turn and test the Ashley 5 year plan.

If the fat man can err; he will... he just needs to be given time.

A fair point, but I think Mike Ashley has finally installed a manager that he is prepared to back. There seems to be much better contact being made between Pardew and Ashley than we've seen with past managers.

I agree. I think Mike has made his long term choice (hence the duration of the deal) and he'll be judged on this one. If he wants success he has to back him in the transfer market as long as the players fit the clubs now accepted ethos.

    Here's hoping.

We say that far too much...
