I have heard that Kedwell may be having his op after Stevenage game as Gills can bring in a striker on loan. Thoughts if true? It makes sense to me.
I wouldn't be too happy if I was Antonio German then. Also I'm pretty sure that Adam Birchall's loan expires in January too?
looks like kedwell will now have op next Thursday instead of last Thursday as we now have a new striker on loan. Taylor is also looking for another striker with more experience as he thinks Akin cant last a whole game.
I have just watched Peter Taylor's Interview on Gills Player and Peter Taylor is looking to sign a targetman as cover all the while Danny Kedwell is out with his hernia, once Danny Kedwell has that hernia operation then that means Adebayo Akinfenwa would be the only targetman at the club and Peter Taylor clearly is not confidant that Akinfenwa can start games back to back. With Danny Kedwell, Cody McDonald, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Jack Marriott and one more striker to come into the club then you would think that Antonio German and Adam Birchall will be loaned out until the end of the season.
Taylor now says Kedwell wont have the op until we have enough points in the bag & with rest we can keep Danny going!? All very odd
I don't think we will get the best out of Kedwell with his hernia injury.I think it would be better for Kedwell to have his operation and then we can bring in a targetman on loan until he recovers.
I find this extremely worrying that Keds cannot have is op as soon has possible. Why do we have to wait until there is enough points in the bag. I can remember back to MA's time where Keds wasn't getting a look in some weeks. Do we really miss Burton that much as a replacement. I know this was not during PT's reign but it just goes to show how some odd decisions were made in getting us to where we are at the moment.
