Anyone happier with them after their performances yesterday? First half was a bit hit and miss and we didn't seem to have the right shape, but half-time pep-talk seemed to clarify a few things for the whole team, with the subsequent push-on. Energy levels similar to those shown against Leicester Did Kebe need to hear that the fans were behind the team and the manager to lift him out of his lethargy? The goal and link-up with McCormack seemed to work well. Stewart's contribution seemed to be more like a tricky winger with some good crosses and assists. And both put in a solid display of tracking back and defending when we didn't have the ball. What was Smithies doing for our fifth? Utter madness
Both played better. Kebe gained confidence when his poor control lead to Ross getting the equaliser. Prior to that he was poor. Stewart comes infield far too much and therefore doesn't give us the outlet a winger should.
Boom boom Elland. (Its not about how hard we can hit, its about how hard we can get hit and keep moving forward. Thats how winning is done.)
Hopefully both have gained confidence, starting to get to know and be known by their teammates and will get better and more better.
Muted goal celebration from Kebede and hand to the ear when running past the crowd? I'm more than happy to let him and Stewart settle in over a few games, but wonder if negative comments from fans is getting to him?
Eire, not sure Kebe is that sort of player, hope I'm wrong. Second half once we had got on top he was a different player, strutted about and looked good, but I'm still not sure about when its ugly. Like I said though, hope I'm wrong.
This is exactly what happened to him here. He used to have twitter, but due to a negative comments on there he, deleted it. Im interested to watch how he progresses, as I think he was great here, until his injury. Hope he does well.
