Or maybe another. Who gets player of the year? Sure the Spurs fans will pick, Harry the goals are all mine Kane http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43714595Player
As good as De Bruyne has been, Salah has been the difference between the RS being fairly average to being capable of beating anyone on their day. His finishing has been sublime this season, he wins it by a Street for me.
Whilst Salah has been incredible with how comfortably City have won the league it has to be one of their players for me, so KDB
Salah for me. City's good results is more of a team effort. KDB has been great, but so has Sane, Aguero, Sterling etc Salah has stood out from that Pool team.
The team of the season will reflect City’s league dominance, but in terms of personal impact the best player award doesn’t have to come from the Champions
'Load' seems the wrong word though. Salah has been great, but do you think 29 goals and a 3/4th place finish at this point, supersedes a title demolition orchestrated by two absolutely brilliant midfielders? It's not even close for me. Who won it last season, Kante... was he even the best player in the league? Costa was probably Chelsea's best player.
I know that, but I generally lean towards players who control games rather than just goalscorers. Players like Pirlo, Scholes, Xavi... De Bruyne.
KDB has gone off the boil for a month or more, that's the difference between the really great players and just the good ones, you have to do it in almost every game throughout a season and turn up in the big games. He's failed miserably lately.
I don’t agree with that, his effectiveness has been reduced by the injury to Aguero and then the subsequent refusal of Pep to pick him ahead of the misfiring Jesus.
He was on the bench for the derby, but I have to accept your point as valid I suppose. Probably closer than I thought originally.
Aye, normally I’d be on the same page, and De Bruyne is an absolute joy to watch, he’s one of the few non Everton players I’d pay money to watch, which is an elite bunch for me, probably less than 10 make that list in 35 years
