    Apparently (so the barman in my local says) Sky Sports quoted Elmo and Brady as saying the surface was so bad they'd have to play up the wings as it's impossible to battle up the pitch through the middle! Quinny was also quoted as saying something similar in the Sun....

    Somebody just told me - it resembles a ploughed field. Is that right?

    It might not be perfect, but a ploughed field is a massive exaggeration.

    Saw a bit of the Man U v Reading game on TV last night.

    The Old Trafford pitch is knackered as well.
