Kaspers kicking is ridiculous, he can kick the ball further then anyone I have ever seen, Lloyd Dyers goal was made by Kaspers kicking with the help of Steve Howard Schmeichel and Mills have been class recently. Some people doubted Mills but I always knew he would come good and he is starting to. Delighted for Nugent and Schlupp getting on the score sheet. Both deserve it
Ive said it before his kicking can get us 10 extra goals this season...put howard on in the last twenty and aim it at him..simples..
Schmichael, without really having anything to do was outstanding, when he claimed that corner in the first half he'd won at least a 7/10. Only errors could have granted him a bad game. He held long shots with ease and his kicking was almost perfect.
I think its a long time since we've had a keeper who's looked as assured as Kasper does. When those long shots were coming in, you never felt nervous that there'd be a fumble or he'd let it through his hands. He certainly has all the qualities of a top keeper. Shot stopping; distribution; he commands his area; handling is very good; communication is excellent. I do think though that it shows how much dross we've had recently in the goalkeeping department that we're praising Kasper for catching crosses cleanly or not fumbling long shots. Don't get me wrong, I think he's been excellent so far but I think this is the standard and the benchmark we should expect from our players now.
In fairness he's had very little to do in recent games as the defence has been so solid. Even so, when we weren't defending so well (Southampton stands out) he was pulling off some worldies. He's not out a foot wrong so far and lets hope he continues. And yes, his kicking is immense.
Yes... i remember that well-known children's animated TV series...I believe it was called 'Schmeichel the Friendly Ghost'. please log in to view this image
Agreed. But just the way he claims the ball and distributes it... always seems so much in control. Remember, keepers don't always get the easy things right (ie Chris Weale), and that always leads to trouble. Kasper looks like he doesn't have a lot to do because he always does his bread and butter stuff so well.
I think we should take this oppertunity to love sven even more so, not only is kasper among the top signings but we have kept 4 or 5 clean sheets against great teams. Our attacking prowess has steadily become perfected, we seem dynamic spontaneous and never look out of place going forward. Long may our unbeaten run continue and lets do this!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWHA8DMpzRE&feature=related Look at that kick for the fourth. Simply stunning.
The ones who also said he'd probably benefit from a change in management and training and were proven right? They're probably on the Leeds board.
Im still happier with lonergan, regardless of how good or bad schmeichal is at leicester. Based on last season he needed to work on his all round game ALOT. If he looks better good for him and i do hope he does well but im still happier with lonergan, looks a hell of a lot better as a keeper and if your talking about schmeichal's kicking you shoulda seen lonergan's throw on the weekend, went midway into the other half. It was insane
Yeh I saw that, great throw tbf. But if Kasper keeps getting it right on Big Steve's head in the opposition boxthat's good enough for me Anyway, you're happy with your goalkeeper and we're happy with ours, so it's all cool really
I can't remember anybody ever saying that. Listen, we both got a new keeper for about 1m each. Ours has turned out to be the best we've had since Tim Flowers, he's that good. Lonergan may well be decent, but Kasper is just unbelievable. He doesn't look like conceding, for a 24 year old the lad just oozes confidence and will be one of the worlds top keepers in a few years.
