This has just come through on twitter from the man himself, obviously not certain but sounds like he doesn't intend on going anywhere:

What do we think of that then?

UPDATE: Unfortunately, it turned out to be a hacker on his twitter account, and not the man himself. Got to love the internet for things like this!

Taken from his twitter just a minute or two ago

So either he couldn't agree terms with Leicester, or he won't be forced out.

    Update :
    So Bates then i'd imagine.

    Options for Kasper:

    1. Spend one year at Leeds, leave on a free and to go to Premiership
    2. Spend two years at Leicester, leave on a free and go to Premiership

Obviously option one means he gets to the Premiership sooner, so the cynic in me is saying that's why he's making such a fuss about being sold.

yeah i hadn't thought of it quite like that to be honest.

    Or of course:

    3. Spend a year at leeds, get promoted and decide he's staying longer!

    And then:

I'll be keeping an eye on that one to see what people are asking. Personally I think there was a lot of people jumping on the 'he wasn't that good anyway' bandwagon a little bit early when the initial news came out.

After his Yorkshire Radio rant, quite possibly. Said Schmeichel should quit Twitter, made noises about his agent and stuff like that. It seems the most plausible fall-out.

yeah I agree, there are loads of questions flying at him as well, many asking if it's Bates. He isn't going to admit that on twitter!

If he stays, keep him as number 1 and Rachubka as back up, then money can be spent strengthening elsewhere *cough* DM *cough*.

Though I guess we would lose out on his fee...

Hope this is true and he sticks two fingers up at Bates. He may not play for a season, but he's standing his ground, getting his weekly wage and the club get feck all for him. Bates needs more people doing this to him, wish the fans would wake up and act as well.

It's not true I'm afraid. He just posted a video confirming that he definitely was hacked and hasn't been tweeting all morning:

I love the way you were all saying how crap and overrated he was last week when it looked like he was going to Leicester. Then a glimmer of hope that he might be staying at weeds and you're all back to brown nosing him. Now that you ******s realise it was all a joke, he's **** again now right?

    Pathetic.

No, not even close. I was disappointed when I thought he was going to dig his heels in. Before i found out he was leaving I was pretty indifferent to him, as soon as i found out he was leaving I was like good now we can get someone better in. When this came up, I was disappointed because if he stays all he'll do is sit around collect his pay cheque every week and not contribute anything to the team.

Who's been brown-nosing him that wasn't doing before?

    Who's said he's **** that wasn't doing before?

I can live with being pathetic.

My take he signed a 2 year contract so he could leave next season on a free new club paying a big signing on fee caught with his pants down when Bates said no we will sell him now and get some money for him. He will not play for Leeds again whilst Bates is there you don,t cross the dictator

That was rather funny - Although it does seem to suggest if he were able to mend any broken bridges, there are at least some who would welcome him staying.

Not sure if I agree with the lauding of Bates by some on here - The only reason he agreed to sell KS (can't spell his name) was for a bucket load of money for a player who cost nothing and not some tactical outsmarting of a players intentions
