It's started and we haven't even got the trophy yet.

I suppose though as we want to be linked with top quality players we have to accept that other teams will be linked with ours.

I think we will struggle to keep hold KS and a cople of other players this summer, I can't see how we can compete with big name clubs for him? I really hope KP get these contracts sorted ASAP so we can start thinking of bringing players in and not some of our best players going out!!

I STILL can't fathom why people are going after Kasper, when Andy Lonergan is also available, and quite clearly the far better keeper...

Lets hope that, that (plus a decent payrise) can convince him to stay.

Was always going to be the case lads, but you should be able to hang on to him at least until Xmas. If your looking bad then, he may decide to jump ship.

He really is you key man for next season.

I disagree Queeny about him being our key player. Don't get me wrong I love Kasper and he has been great for us but I would choose a few other players I'd want to keep ahead of him without question. I'm sure we have a couple of quality keepers in mind should kasper leave. It would be a shame but not the end of the world.

I'd agree with Queenie, hes saved us so many points in the past, and we'll need someone like him between the sticks next season. Speroni is a good example of this and has played a big part in keeping Palace in the league.

This is what I think will happen <gets crystal ball out>

Kasper will sign a 2 year deal. There will be a clause in there that says he is able to leave for £x amount if we get relegated.

Could do a lot lot worse than stay with us another season and adjust himself to the premier league with us. He gives the whole team so much confidence.

He's been brilliant for you this season, I'm surprised your set up have allowed his contract to run down. Is that because he refused a deal or because they just didn't offer him one?

There'll be very few goalkeepers out there who wouldn't want to play in the Premier League, I doubt you'd struggle to find a talented replacement.

It was a department we were struggling with going into this season, but we brought in McGregor and the experienced Steve Harper, both of them for less than £2m, so I doubt you'll not find somebody else.

On a personal level (for Kasper) he would also impress more behind a familiar defence.

The very cream of Europe are after Kasper. Arsenal, AC Milan, Olympiacos AND Southampton themselves! <laugh>

Where there's lack of clarity, there's speculation. These stories will hopefully desist when he signs his new contract.

The speak about this earlier in the season is that he'd stay and be free to move if we failed to get promoted, so wasn't offered one earlier.

Balls totally in his court now, the only thing we have over these other clubs is that we are the most likely to offer him a game every week.

the only one who knows for sure what he wants is kasper,
the are a lot of good keepers out their, I am sure NP will have a plan b in mind i would prefer him to stay but either way we will be in the premiere league next season and hopefully for many seasons to come.

To be honest, I think Saints could go after better options. I want Saints to go in for Begovic. Not convinced Kapser is any better than Boruc.

Miami..Cesar kepty us in contention single handedly with a crap tem.
You wont have Miage and Zamora shooting at you next season, itll be Rooney, Gerrard, lamps and co. Dont kid yourself, as it stands right now, your midfield will get obliterated but, im sure NP has some signings up his sleeve to address that.

Sorry mate, but i cannot see anyone in your team more important than KS. Remember what the great Man Ure team was built around?..(clue is..they have the same surname ..!!)

Im not intrested in reading posts from the likes of Gangnumstyle and Andy teling me how fantastic your Mids are.
Just to say..if you dont concede then you cant lose. Simples really.

MIAMI. Who would you be more concerned about then?
