MON, MARCH 5 JUST seen the viewing figures for yesterday's lunchtime TV games and Cardiff v West Ham top the table! The audience was 2.4million â four times Newcastle v Sunderland. Anyone who doesn't think West Ham are going to be the biggest club in the world is making a big mistake. Seriously, those with the tendency to think anything outside the Prem is Cbeebies stuff, get real.
If you listen to Geordies and Mackems long enough, they will convince you that all those missing people were at the match instead.
The reason why there were more viewers for the Cardiff v West Ham game, Brady, was that it was on BBC whereas Newcastle v Sunderland was on ESPN/Sky (can't remember which but the point is it was on a channel not every single person in the country has access to).
What she didn't say was that half of the viewers were fans of other top six clubs hoping to watch them lose. I for one turned off once result was known because the game was so booooooooooooooring.
