I'm actually not looking forward to our boys playing their national team now! I couldn't give a **** about the score just so long as every player walks off the pitch at the end... don't need any injuries but knowing our luck they will go out and injury Baldock and JET....
Unfortunately some "friendlies" are anything but that, especially when playing against opposition from a different culture. I remember in my younger days playing against a local team in Bermuda. Before the game I heard one of their players bragging about breaking legs today with some rather derogatory racial comments. It was ugly as they were out to cause damage. Similar to City, we walked off the pitch as the ref was clearly not interested in player safety. Hope that Karleigh recovers soon and that all our lads are injury free after the next game.
Lets hope this trip doesnt backfire spectacularly !! The last thing we need is to go into a new season with a long list of avoidable injuries.
KO is now likely to miss the start of the season after needing 18 stitches in the wound SC reckons had Osbourne's foot been planted, it could have been a career ending challenge.... Just what you need in a friendly !!
