Suddenly appeared in the betting with odds shortening. Has done well with MK Dons. He was also the youngest man ever to attain the UEFA Pro Licence at just 29 years old.

What do you guys think? Too inexperienced?

Great young prospect but too young and too soon for him. We are battling in the Premier League and he will have players who know more about it than he does. This will not promote respect in the dressing room and I can see dissent appearing from all directions, particularly from the senior players.

We need someone who COMMANDS respect, who the players will listen to and look up to. Robinson does not tick those boxes yet. I am sure he will in due course but not for us in the here and now.

Too young and too much of a jump. I've seen this guy's MK Dons team at Bournemouth, and he didn't seem to - at least on this occasion - have any tactical ingenuity.

We'll see. I don't think he will get the job.

What about Monk. He's appeared in the betting at 16-1. Cheap option for Huw.

Huw can stick his cheap options where the sun don't shine. There's another £40/60 million at stake next season and we've shown that with the right manager, we are capable of achieving it. SO LET'S GET THE RIGHT MANAGER!

If Huw does go cheap you can bet that he and the Board are hoarding the cash to prepare for life in the Championship. Why else would they appoint someone with a slim chance of keeping us up?

Well now you're talking, ivor. At the moment it looks as if HJ is scrabbling around looking for the best 'deal' as opposed to who is the best man for our Club. He's rarely let us down to be fair but I am really starting to worry with some of the people linked to us at the moment.

I like the idea of Poyet and I've really warmed to Laudrup too, though he could be a little full on apparently. Solskjaer would be a great choice but is reluctant to uproot his family by all accounts. All of the above would command instant respect.

Knowing Huw we'll all be well off the mark and he'll appoint someone we haven't even thought of.
