Starts this weekend I think on Sky but available to watch now on demand. Funny stuff. No dwarfs, no Gervais, just him. In the first episode he is moaning about marriage and travelling the world finding out more about it. Worth a watch, comes off with some classics.
Not watched it but I think he's now become a parody of Karl Pilkington! His attitudes was funny at first - series 1 and 2 of "Idiot" but series 3 was contrived as ****!
Contrived being the key word, from the first episode he came across as trying too hard to moan about absolutely everything. The clips of Gervais laughing at him came across as very fake as well.
I listened to his podcasts he did years ago with Gervais and they were superb. Series 3 of idiot abroad was a let down I thought, but I thought this one last night was decent. Just some of the wee one liners he comes off with are brilliant. He was in india meeting a family about having an arranged marriage with their daughter so they were grilling him. They were asking how much money he earned, what his education was like etc. when out of the blue he says "To be honest I used to do a bit of robbing. Only penny chews and sweets from the shop but still" Then describing his bird to a wedding planner she asks the size of his wife to which he replies "She's plump. No wait. That doesn't sound good. The thing with Susan is she's got a lot of skin" 20 October 2013 at 9:00pm
