Saw this a couple of days ago. Fairly decent player, however I can't see it happening, had a mssive fall out with HBA at Marseille and is the wrong age for our "Arsenal" blueprint!!

Perhaps he'd be brought in to bolster the midfield.

Offer him £30k per week and shift out Raylor or Guthrie?

This. We need a better CM back-up if we are going to play 5 midfielders.

I couldn't comment, haven't seen him play for a few years. The HBA stuff would suggest it is unlikely, and they just seem to be working off the interest from january. One thing did catch my eye was Man U's tour game. Owen, Rooney, Macheda, Berbatov, Welbeck, Hernandez. Either Macheda or Welbeck will be going on loan/permanent and I think we could do a lot worse than get one of them in. Owen, Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov have all said they're staying or had new contracts.

Macheda always plays well in preseason ,then you don't see anythingnof him the rest of the season

He went on loan to Serie A last year after preseason and by all accounts he was a beast. FIFA 11 included him in their team of the week several times, which in case you don't know what that means, its good news! ha

I would be chuffed with Macheda.

Especially after the Rossi debacle where we hardly played him and just pissed SAF off for wasting his players time.

Aye I don't think AF has ever forgiven the previous regime for Rossi's time here. Like you say if either Welbeck or Macheda leave old fat head will be in the driving seat given the regular waxing he gives the alcoholics schlong.

Im pretty sure SAF said that Welbeck was staying at Man Utd. Macheda on the other hand hasnt been mentioned by him, although there was an interview with Maceda recently and he stated he wanted to stay in England after not feeling right battling relegation with Sampdoria.

One of them will be at least loaned out, i wouldnt be surprised to see Macheda sold though.

As for this Zaini, i know next to nothing about him other than seeing his name in January linked with us. He's a little older than our target, but then still young enough for a 2-3 year contract if he was prepared to play as back up. Havign said that, i dont think we need back up at CM and if he doesnt get on with Ben Arfa its near enough a non-starter, considering how influential Hatem seems to be with transfers lately.
