Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara has praised Stoke City boss Tony Pulis following his side’s superb 4-0 victory over Newcastle United.
Kamara suggests the job Pulis has done at the Britannia has been unfairly underrated because of the perceived brand of football that has become synonymous with the Potters.
Stoke are now well placed to avoid relegation this season, and Kamara believes Pulis’ record at the club should be commended rather than derided.
Kamara told skysports.com: “Too many people take Stoke City for granted.
“I know Harry Redknapp is a big fan of Tony Pulis and the work he is doing, having signed him and had him as his assistant at Bournemouth.
“Quite often Tony's team is labelled as one-dimensional, which I think is slightly unfair; you have to have a bit more about you than that to be in the top 10 of this league.
“Fair play to Tony - he's doing a great job getting the best out his squad when you consider the resources he has behind him. It was a great result for the Stoke lads on Saturday and it should give them plenty of confidence for one final push going into the last games of the season.”
