I know he's from 'Them' but is reportedly being released on a free. Could we tempt him to switch postcodes for the benefit of staying in London?
He is good enough but will go to a bigger club. I think he's overrated and should be at a club like Everton, Sunderland etc. but top managers seem to like him.
I think we have to be realistic and walk before we can run. Mid-table should be the aim this year, with a points target of perhaps 50, but I'd be happy enough with consolidation and being comfortable from relegation with half a dozen games to go.
He was at his best alongside Drogba and with all the attacking midfield threats Chelsea carried and his scoring record was average at best. I think we can do better regardless of the fact he's on a free...
Wow, I'm as optomistic as the next hoop, thats just how we are made. But even with my most cynical of hats on I still could go as far as to say he isnt 'good enough' to play for us. I was thinking it may be far fetched to convince him to come to us, not the other way around. By no means do I see him as a world class player, but on a wing he has to be a fantastic option. He has to be a good alternative to SWP/Smith/Ephraim and possibly even Tarbs (only in a wide position.) Come to thinkof it, id actually like to see Traore at left wing.....
I think Kalou would be a good addition for any club outside the top 6 but I don't see the point in you guys signing him as you play 4-4-2 and he can't play in that formation and isn't good enough to play as a striker
What about Kalou District? Chelsea tend to play narrow so I'd guess he's not really a winger. Not interested and don't think it would happen anyway, he's a decent player but I think we are going young and from abroad.
I agree with Watford, decent out wide in a 4-2-3-1 but I think his best position is out wide in a 4-3-3
If we were to sign a freebe i think id rather go for bosingwa than Kalou. He could prove a real bargain , intl fullback , played 24 league games last year so was chelsea's first choice RB. Once worth £17m ! Could be worth a punt !
No he would struggle to make it into some Championship teams IMO He only played as many games as he did because A) Luiz wasn't fit to start the season and AVB froze out Alex meaning Terry and Ivanovic were the only fit centre backs we had. B) AVB wanted two attacking full backs, Bosingwa is better going forward. Ivanovic is actually a CB nut converted right back after Bosingwa picked up a serious injury 2 years ago C) injuries and suspensions to Cahill, Terry, Luiz and Ivanovic at different stages of the season. Ivanovic always is and has been our first choice and Bosingwa would not have played had Ivanovic not been suspended
Definitely. Don't get me wrong before the injury at Villa he was a good player, easily international standard but hasn't been the same since and at 30 shows no signs that will change. He was out for a year and it's clearly affected him
district he can't play at all & was very suprised he got in your team of late & having watched some of those matches he seemed to break up most of your promising attacks with his lack of ability & vision, you can keep him.
