Is this the last word in ingratitude? Boswinga in particular played better than anyone could have imagined in the CL semi (especially) and in the final and then gets dumped. You must be really proud of your club today.

Bosingwa has been pants for 2 seasons mate.
2 good performances cannot make up for that. We have Ivan at RB who is miles better and Bosingwa will be on the bench always unless Ivan is injured or suspended. Same with Kalou.
To be honest this move reeks of wage bill reduction to be honest. With Drogba, Kalou and Bosingwa released, thats about 350k in wages we have freed up. (Drogba - 160k, Kalou-100k, Bosingwa-90k).
This will help us buy another winger and a back up striker (which we will need if Sturridge leaves).

Quite possibly it is money related (maybe they had unreal demands) but I was staggered how Bosingwa coped with Messi et al in the semi after Terry and Cahill went off and he is partially responsible for you winning the cup. I think that merits another year?

I would have thought Bosingwa was worth keeping as a squad player?

Raising your game a few times in several years doesn't justify another contract for what is a quite average player. I'd be more worried they'll come for Walker if I were you.

Case of damned if we do damned if we don't.

People keep telling us about FFP and how our squad needs freshening up; so we move on Alex, Anelka, Drodga, Bos and Kalou and people then say we aren't showing loyalty? Make your minds up!!

You can make a case for Bos or Kalou staying but ultimately they will be on good salaries and are likely to be merely squad players next season. Perhaps they wanted to move away as well? Kalou in particular has hinted he would leave earlier on in the season so it may not just be the club's decision.

Now is the ideal time for us to shake up the squad with a lot of players coming to end of their contracts and having just won the big one. Also there are a lot of top class players available this transfer window and we have to free up squad places and wages to accomodate 1 or 2 big signings (we've been strongly linked with Hulk, Hazard and Lucas for instance). We also have some amazing young players and need to start promoting some.

Best of luck Bos and Kalou.

Maybe but depends on wage demands etc? We have a great prospects in Sam Hutchinson (if he can stay injury free) who can play right and centre back too, is young and will be on about a third of the wages.

    This <ok>

Bosingwa has been utter crap since not long after he joined, I appreciated his performances over the last two CL games and the passion he showed when he won it but to say 'ou must be proud of your club' quite frankly is ridiculous HD.

Kalou, same goes, I'd much rather keep him than Malouda, very pissed off but again he's been ****e for the past couple of seasons bar this spell under Robbie.

As Chelsea - 100 has said, we're trying to oblige to FFP rules and shiftin any passengers who are on the wrong wage packet, we've got Sam Hutchinson as back up to Ivan and Marin as replacemnt to Kalou, both will be on significantly less wages.

    Agree Walker would be perfect.

Also, Bosi was part responsible for both the Barca goals.#

Annoying we are getting zero cash for him.

Hutch can play RB and Saving Private Ryan can play anywhere!

No, Walker is useless. Tottaly over rated. If we want another right back (which we really don't) it has to be Azpillicueta. Van De Weil, like Walker, can't defend and both arent nearly half the player Ivanovic is, and tbh that also applies to Azpillicueta, but not to the same extent. Also we have Todd Kane coming through the ranks.

Agree Walker is ****, I'd leave him alone if I were you. Anyway, just signed a new deal.

I'd definitely take Walker if the price was right, however he'd cost an absolute fortune given that he's just signed a new one!

Maybe if anyone ever takes the managers job at your club they can sign him.

He gave away, in part, both Barca goals before he went CB.

If you want him, you are welcome. But he is not used to playing on Spursdays

Bos and Kalou have both had their moments at the club, but now they are both fading stars! I dont think many Blues will argue with the decision for them to move on!

Kalou was never up to scratch and certainly never world class, same for Bosingwa and is it really worth the gamble on a 29 year old when we have Ivanovic and Hutchinson that can deputise for any future world class RB signing like Van Der Wiel or Azpilicueta? A step in the right direction if you ask me.

I'm sure you noticed that we actually finished 6th this year. - Of course you did, you've been mouthing off about it enough. Well there's a reason for that. It's because certain players aren't up to the task and Bosingwa and Kalou come into that category. I understand the fact that us keeping such players is your only SLIM chance of finishing anywhere near us next season but we don't really want this to happen as it's rather embarrassing having a small club like the spuds finishing above us!
