Would you take him in January?
Would it be a coup if Wenger brought him in? He'd certainly lift the spirits of the dressing room and be a bit of a stellar signing right?

Wages is the problem here. He is on massive wages at Madrid, and so far he has not taken the wage cut needed to go on loan and has been happy to be a squad player at Madrid.

It would be a good move for Kaka. He needs to get regular football in a technically good team in a high profile league. I think we can give him that. City would just make him play off the bench, and his career would die completely.

I think we've already got one too many lazy Brazilians.

He wouldn't agree to anything lower than a 3 year deal, and I really think that he's a risky player to pay your highest wages on a long term contract. I can very easily see him ending up a wage leech.

There's plenty of talent out there to be had in their prime for the wages you'd have to pay Kaka.

I agree i think Wages would be the stumbling block.

If something could be sorted i'd take him in an instant. He is world class. He found himself out of the team at Madrid after injury and it took him a while to get back to fitness but he is still top class. He is like Arshavin in that when he plays, even if he plays not up to standard he makes something happen, he has a real understanding of football and eye for a pass. And when he is on form he is top top quality. Having seen bits of him recently he still looks like he has time at the top - it's a shame he isn't in a team where he can be the main man.

I'd take him, Kaka's a sad case of a major club ruining a player, the guy's quality, just being badly used by Madrid, like they've done with many other top players (Van der Vart, Sneider, Robben etc)

Yet unlike those other players, who weren't even as good as Kaka on their peak, he doesn't have the drive or desire to actually seek a new club where he can play regularly. He's content to keep getting his wages mostly sitting in the bench.

We really don't need another one of those. As I said for the wages you'd have to pay him you can get a proven, ambitious talent who hasn't already won everything, that is closer to his prime.

    tl;dr lazy Brazilian

He seemed to believe he could fight for his spot. Seems he has now realised he's out of favour and might want a move.
His wages will be high, but he would be a coup - and the shirt sales and increased marketability would help pay for some of it.

If they could sign him on 100k or less I'd absolutely take him, provided he passes the medical with flying colours & seems motivated. It's all down to his attitude really.

I'd love to see M'Villa, Rosicky & Kaka as a midfield 3, with Santi, Giroud & Theo up top :)

I am with Gent on this one ex-world class player who may or may not make it is too much of a difference. Even if he fires he will not help address most of the issues at the club. I would rather we went out and got 2-3 players who are first teamers notably a LB/Cb, a DM/CDM and a striker - we could arguably get three good players for a similar wage as he aint coming cheaper than 150k+. Personally I would rather we got BA/Hutelaar, Fellani/Mvilla and a young defender like Papadopolus/Santon. Ba and huntelaar will be in 5-7mn range - Fellani/Mvilla 20mn and Papa/Santon 10mn so spend like 40 mn and combined wages should be 200k. Unlike Kaka who would cost like 10-20mn and 200k odd wages

    Interesting!!
My ideal would be Ba, Fellaini/M'Villa, and Yanga-Mbiwa. A striker, a midfield guru and a defender. Kaka would be a massive bonus, but you're right, on the wages he's likely to command he's not so much an option.

Those 3 would add some steel and drive to the team - Fellaini won Everton a draw almost single-handedly at Goodison, he was absolute class.

Honestley a change of formiation is required I would try

    ------------Wos--------------

    -----Kos----Mert----TV---------

    --Sagna---------------------Gibbs--

    -------------Fellani/Arteta---------------

    -----Caz/Rosicky-------------Wilshere/Rosicky------

    --------------Theo----Giroud/Ba----------------

also we should never ever drop Mert comfortably are best CB - in my thing he plays sweeper/CB

Thinking is that when we attack Fellani drops Deep giving four at the back especially as currentley are FBs play as wing backs but are play is so slow that even arteta who should sit back goes forward and we wind up leaving 2 at the back. This allows 6 attackers and 4 players back for cover against weaker/slower teams send fellani up as well. Plus we should have at least 2 in the box meaning we can actually have a point to all the crosses we currently cross to no one.

Attacking wise it puts Theo in an ideal position and big and small works in England (put someone like Pod in europe). I might even start rosicky in front of Wilshere as he is much better at direct dribbling and through balls (last season arguably better than Caz) with theo upfront getting balls through and over defences will be vital.

I'm afraid I couldn't disagree with you more. Changing formation is not something you do mid-season and it isn't a trivial undertaking at this level. Whether the formation is better or worse is a matter for theoretical debate, but performances will drop significantly while the players get used to the new system.

I started to try and write out the problems with the formation, but there is just so much wrong, and because there is no chance of it ever happening, it just isn't worth the effort.

We haven't been linked with him since august and even that was a pretty weak rumour. I would also like alonso ozil and di maria but we aren't going to get them, why don't we just focus on the players that we have at least been linked with. He is on massive wages at real aswel so why would he take a HUGE wage cut to come to a colder climate? I think he's pretty satisfied at real.

He was linked with galaxy a few days ago and as if we can compete with their spending power. I'd take him but it's not going to happen.
