So hes going. Or at least he should be. Too good to rot on the bench but not good enough to force Rooney or RvP out of the side. A shame because he has the ability but lacks the flexibility to be part of our side. I hope when he goes he is replaced by a player of similar creative ability who can also operate in a number of roles because the fact is, Rooney is playing the number 10 role. A shame it never worked out though. He had exactly what we needed and at times looked on a completely different wavelength to some of our players. He passed and he moved whilst others stood static. He was never a true left winger and its shown. So.... a replacement. Who could it be?
Yep. He is quality. But as you say somehow we couldn't use his strengths and he became a bit part player.
