Does anyone know the latest update in him? I thought he was meant to be back before Christmas?

Last week Villas-Boas said that he'd be back and available for selection in about a month, so maybe Norwich or West Brom?

He'll be like a new signing when he does come back seeing as how he's been out for so long.

Our players always end up injured longer than we first thought.

    Why is that?

It's the ones who have had surgery that have been back late, I think. Bale's been injured twice and got back quickly and Dempsey too. Actually Dembele was back late, wasn't he? I think that was down to him being rested until the problem had settled down and the time frame for that seemed to be based on what happened when he tweaked his leg.

    Man I've missed Younes!

It's amazing how he's progressed from his first spell.

Spurs cap on here but I rate him alongside Kompany and Vidic as one of the best CB's in the league, even Europe.

Yeah, Freund confirmed it, Relayer. He's been put on a six-week rehabilitation programme.
Not been impressed by the length of time that it's taken a number of our players to return from injury. Maybe they're just being extremely cautious, but it feels a bit off.

Better be cautious than rush them back into the side, as we've done many times in the past that has seen players re-injure themselves shortly afterwards.

Spurs have a lot of cover at CB, but Kaboul is a big miss. He is a physical and commanding presence like Kompany or Vidic, although not quite in their class yet. He came of age as a player last season so it must be frustrating to have him missing for most of this. Kaboul and Vertonghen would look like a good match as a pair, with Caulker in the wings. I still don't rate Dawson. A lot of heart and effort, but a lot of shortcomings too.

Daws is a player I can see being great in the last ten minutes as we defend a lead, but that in itself says he shouldn't be starting if Kaboul and Verts are available.

Put Dawson in a team that aren't trying to keep possession on the deck and aren't playing so high up the pitch then he'll be a great asset. If Dawson wants to move I'll be happy for him to go, I think it's the right time for both of us although I wouldn't like to see him forced out after all the commitment he's shown us.

Keep Daws at least until the end of the season, if YK is not playing till March- don't want to be left short at the business end.
Suspect Gallas will be released eventually.
