Heard it on Sky Sports earlier and Harry mentions it on our page on their website, all during his latest appearance in front of a mic.

"You're talking about a couple of exceptional players here in Gareth Bale and Luka Modric. They've both signed long-term contracts."

So Luka has signed a new contract?

Benny out is bad news. Time for Rose to blossom; might not be a bad thing! 4 games and no top opposition.

As long as he puts in a shift - showing some professional pride might inspire some of the players around him.

Does he need to, Luka still has 4yrs to run from May this year, perhaps there's no release cause yet.

Rose came in at this time last season and was impressive for the last few games, I have high hopes, shame he couldn't have upped his contribution this year though.

you really think that is his fault or the gaffer's? very difficult to perform on the odd appearence you get...especially when most fans will be comparing his performances to Benny who is a regular and well and truely bedded into the pace and whole expectation criteria of a first teamer.

Why does this not surprise me in the least?
Both players were run into the ground and the Assou-Ekotto injury looks like a repeat of what happened last season, when he was played constantly til he picked up a season ending injury.

Nice to see Redknapp bemoaning our squad strength again, too.
Perhaps our manager should've strengthened in January, when he said our squad was fine?

we have to many players on loan with no chance of recalling them, and Harry won't use the others he's got in the squad except his "usual" sixteen

lets look on the bright side.

As HBIC says, Rose'll put a shift in. hopefully 4 games will be enough for him to actually get some momentum in the team. especially if he knows that from day 1, he's the man for the rest of the season. - he'll be able to play a bit more relaxed, knowing he's got more than a 20 minute window to impress, for the first time in 3 months!!

The key to DR playing well, is if Bale backs him up. They both have the ability to defend and attack. it could end up working out very nicely if they stick together. - DR is likely to need stability and shape as he settles in, so we've got to sack off this "switching of bale to the right" and actually play to our f*cking strengths.

As you say Roo, perhaps Redknapp will be forced to get Bale to stick to the left, due to Rose's inexperience?
I'm sure that no right-back will fancy facing that pairing.

I think Rose is a good little player and have been suprised he was not used more when Lennon was injured seeing Harry liked moving one footed Bale to right so much. I'm sure Rose played right when he scored that great goal v Arsenal?

He's done well at LB. Not great but did a job. At least he understands a wingers movement and defends well against them, unlike Benny. Maybe Harry should have played that tactic but hey, it's a tactic ;)

He was also pretty useful against Stevenage, when 'Arry decided to play 5-3-2 for no real reason.

GOOD NEWS...

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport...ks-set-to-boost-struggling-spurs-7681596.html

Younes Kaboul is winning his battle to play in the final stage of Tottenham’s season and could even be fit for Sunday’s match against Blackburn.

The defender has not played since injuring his knee in the 2-1 home defeat by Norwich on Easter Monday, missing the defeats by Chelsea, in the FA Cup semi-final, and Queens Park Rangers, in the Premier League.

Manager Harry Redknapp feared Kaboul could be out for the remainder of the campaign but Standard Sport understands the Frenchman’s knee is now responding well to treatment and that it is possible he will start working with the first-team squad again this week.

If Kaboul plays at White Hart Lane on Sunday, it would boost a team struggling for both form and fitness. Although his level of performance dipped slightly during the second part of the season, the 26-year-old was excellent during the first half of it.

One win from nine Premier League matches has seen Spurs slip outside the top four, putting their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League in jeopardy.

Emmanuel Adebayor is also likely to return after Spurs said he missed the 1-0 defeat at QPR with hamstring trouble but another key player, Benoit Assou‑Ekotto, might not feature again this season due to a shoulder injury.

Assou-Ekotto aggravated the problem at Loftus Road and Redknapp claimed yesterday that he would probably not play in the final four matches. In his absence, Danny Rose is likely to step in at left-back.

Kaboul and Adebayor returning would be a big boost.
We need them badly.
