With it been New Years eve let's get some transfer talk on. Here's my top targets:

    MAX GRADEL-SAINT ETIENNE

    MaxG.jpg

    Position: Winger/Forward

Availability: Recently placed on transfer list

    Possible Transfer Fee: £1m-£2.5m

Our former player of the season has been linked multiple times with us. No one can deny his quality and quite possibly has developed more playing in France's top league (known for been highly defensive) and despite his recent serious injury a intensive medical and possible loan with view to buy would help judge if this has any long term impacts on his playing ability. I think the rest of our season heavily depends on improving our service to the forwards which includes getting some quality wide players in (replace Becchio with Smith and Snoddy with Ross and we have an squad with the attacking ability of 10/11 with the improved defence of this season).

    MICHAIL ANTONIO-SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

    Michail-Antonio-008.jpg

    Position: Winger

Availability: Plays for a cash-stripped, relegation zone club in the same region although is there top player

    Possible Transfer Fee: £1m-£2m

From what I have seen of him he's basically a younger max gradel which makes him a very good alternative to actually buying Max Gradel. Plus it'd really piss of them Owl bastards and go some way to condemning them to relegation. Win win. Also played under Brian at Reading. Playing at Hillsborough so I'm sure he'd adapt to Elland Road as well.

    CHRIS BURKE-BIRMINGHAM CITY

    Position: Winger

Availability: Got half a season left on his contract at a mid table side

    Potential Transfer Fee: £150-350k

No matter who we get in on the wing we're going to need cover and competition. Despite age 30 Burke is still a decent/good Championship player and for such a small fee (we got Pelts for 800k) he would be a very good buy.

TOM LAWRENCE-CARLISLE UNITED (ON LOAD FROM MAN UNITED)

    Position: Midfielder

Availability: Loan finished on Jan 4. Loan only

Scored two spectacular goals and highly rated at Old Trafford. At 19 perhaps some energy to bring on instead of Brown and Tonge would be a benefit to us. And who knows we might even be able to steal him permanently if David Moyes is completely blind.

    NAHKI WELLS

    Position: Forward/Winger

Availability: Top player at League club, flash the cash and we're game

    Possible Transfer Fee: £1.5m-£4m

Sometimes you just need young quality for quality's sake. Impressed all season in League One and can play across the front. Sign him up. Don't think I need to say much more. With Forest and Blackburn showing interest we need to act quick and fast as he is local to Leeds and we're in and around the play offs we're in prime position to be his first choice for a move to the Championship.

    RICARDO VAZ TE-WEST HAM UNITED

    Position: Forward/Winger

Availability: Made 7 appearances all season, handed in a transfer request in the summer

    Potential Transfer Fee: £1.5m-£3m

Prolific and quick. Just what the doctor ordered. He's out in the cold at Wet Spam so let's go fishing. The influence he made when he joined West Ham from Barnsley says everything to me probably the biggest force in West Ham getting promoted.

Just missing out on the list include:

    -Tommy Rowe (Peterborough United)
    -Jordan Ibe (Liverpool)
    -Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)
    -Jordan Cousins (Charlton)
    -Gaël Bigirimana (Newcastle)
    -Harry Kane (Spurs)

Someone fancy emailing this to the club? Last time I did this is included Lewis Grabban and Albert Adomah two of this seasons best championship players ;)

The Gradel thing will not happen as BMD has stated earlier that he has had a scout in France watching his last few performances. He knows how many games he's started and how many he's come off the bench for and how many goals he's scored. reading between the lines you have to say that the cruciate injury has slowed him down and he's nowhere near where he was.

Becchio could be coming back and I'm not sure that's a good move.

Wells would be good but is he better than the kids we have coming through or the new ex saints kid?

Burke still may be the best shout for us.

Tommy Rowe hasn't been mentioned at all of late so he must be garbage.

How about bringing Luke Garbutt back from Everton as he's on loan at either Colchester or Peterboro and scored last weekend. He needs game time and a step up in quality.

Just spoken to my contact at radio Leeds says we are after Wells along with Town and many other clubs apparently Jordan Rhodes is on his way out of Blackburn so he tells me so that will run and run. Burke not heard of any interest with us still thinkhe would be a great asset

Gradel - yes, but only if he is still physically as sharp as he was in these clips
Antonio - lacks class to improve us
Burke - not sure, defer to BM
Lawrance - not sure, defer to BM (and do we need him or is he too similar to others? Suspect he is not high priority)
    Wells - yes please
    Vaz Te - yes please
