Jw has said that he has been talking to Mark Mchrystal and Steve Mildenhall and hopes that comes to Fruition.. Would be great to have those two on board!

He also said that there are or two youth players whom he still has to talk to.. again great to see players coming though the youth system!

The final comment, saying that there's not going to be a huge influx of new faces for next season.. IMO a good thing! maybe a couple in Midfield like J2O other than that Your thoughts???

Mildenhall left to sign as McCrystal has put pen to paper.

It appears to have gone quiet on the JJ O Toole discussions perhaps no news is good news or he is not inclined to play full time at this level.......loan maybe more realistic as it has an end date or a clause so that he can go to another club if interest shown in him.

Who do you want to release M1?

i cant see o'toole joining us to be honest. i think 5/6 players will join us. mcchrystal is 1 of them, mildenhall, 2 CM's, a winger and a striker. the spine is very important. and this is where we lack.

as for the youth, i know matt macey has been offered a contract but has stalled because of trials with 3 current prem sides. once trials are over he will make a decision. if he goes we will get compensation. but if he stays, im sure he is 1 of the youngsters in question.

should be interesting few weeks! ward strikes me as someone who wants business done asap.

I would not be sad to see Gill go for a start followed very closely by Kenneth.. i also think that Virgo has had his days and should be released to free up wages!

Bevan and Clarkson possible to go but more use than the mentioned above..

bevan and virgos contract is up. however while they remain injured they have to stay on our books and continued to be paid as normal while they recover. once recovered they either will be released or offered a new contract. so their wages will still be eaten out of the wage budget until they have recovered.

gill and kenneth are still under contract so no chance of them leaving im afraid <ok> but i fully agree with you as their wages will big high i bet.

as for clarkson, under contract as well but i believe he can offer something to us but i cant see how he will fit into wards formation. he aint a midfielder and not a striker. he plays best behind the strikers. ward will have plans for him im sure.

Try to flog Clarkson - Whilst he scored a few good goals, he just doesn't fit in with JW's style of play IMO. Gill is another who I have never rated since he has been here.

Virgo and Bevan - Well Bevan I wouldn't mind keeping as a back up, but his wages will probably not reflect a back up keeper so he may have to go. Virgo is way past his best and probably shouldn't be playing anymore - Obviously had something about him a couple years ago, but just not good enough now.

JJOT - Even if he costs us 250k and 5k per week, we should definately do our best to sign him on. With him in the team vs without him in the team speaks for itself.

John Ward has spoken of Gill and Clarkson being fit and ready for the new season
...like having two new experienced players on board. I reckon they're part of his plans.
Kenneth....who knows? It would be good if a Scottish club came in for him.
With McChrystal on board my guess is that we won't see many signings, just a few
key ones. I hope Mildenhall is one of those.
