With Waghorn succumbing to injury, we might need to boost the strike force a little. And a certain Dutchman has just been released by Vienna.....he's training with PSV, who have shown an interest but I reckon he would want to return to help us out. Definetly one of the best strikers I've seen at The Tigers in a long while, would welcome him back in an instant, especially if he costs nothing and we could pick him up straight away. Just offer him a short term deal till the end of the season, plus he would help out the younger strikers with his experience.

    Would you have him back?

If he's only just been released by them then we can't sign him until January anyway. He'd need to have been a free agent at the end of the August transfer window.

I can just see the news story now - 'Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has joined Hull City on loan until January.'

wouldn't be against it.. but since we have some guy called Dele already on the books, I reckon he'll get a look in especially after his great finish against Grimsby reserves..

Big Dele will at least be on bench now ready to spring into action if called up to replace McLean or Fryatt, god help us !!!

As for saying that he utilise Barmby as a front man to replace McLean or Fryatt if needed we all know what Barms can do, just look at his winning goal impact against Cardiff.

citys game is now based on pace and JVOH whilst quality in the box is to slow now. plus he is out of touch for all clubs until january anyway. maybe if comes on the cheap(wages cheap i mean) but thats all.

JVOH is not a realistic target, he was Brown find and NP wont look at JVOH when we have a like for like in Big Dele. No question JVOH is far better but NP wont bring in a player like JVOH with dele at the club, simples.

Ghilas is not up to playing at this level, ever our beloved leader just described him this week as being 'at his level, in the French second division', not a chance.

Big Jan is also not a realistic proposition, he's 33 this year, back living in his home country and will no doubt sign for Dutch club in January.

Why would he choose us if he has the chance to play for PSV in his homecountry? I'm begining to think there's some people who still believes in Santa.

Just because he is training with them doesn't mean that he is likely to sign for them. It is probably just for him to keep fit. Free agents often train with clubs to keep their fitness levels up whilst looking for a club (eg Sol Campbell at Arsenal).

That said, I can't see us looking at him. As has been said previously he wouldn't be available until January anyway.

ps, are you seriously trying to tell me that there's no Santa??

Cant believe we are still debating the chance of JVOH coming back to play for us, ludicrous suggestion, never going to happen. Also dont think we need to panic and look at bringing in any striker despite Waghorn's injury, we've got Fryatt, McLean, Barmby, Adebola.

If we want to stay in the top 6 we definitely need to bring in a striker on loan until Waggy is fit
