    Hopefully this one will work!!

I think he's worth considering. He's worked his way up the football pyramid, well respected within the game and seen as someone with huge potential as a manager.

He has taken County from 23rd in the Conference to currently 8th in League 2 and only 5 points off top spot. County play good passing, counter-attacking football. Quite similar to the way Spurs played in the 90s when he was playing. The only difference is that his defence is rock-solid and not prone to leaking goals. They have gone 9 hours currently without conceding a goal - wouldn't we all love that right now!! 90 mins would do me!

I know he's been touted for the Pompey job but I think he's better than than and could do a really good job for us. I have seen County play several times this season including against the Gas and they are a very watchable team and I think they will be there or thereabouts for promotion come the end of the season.

    3rd time lucky ;)

Now you mention him and ive read up about him a little bit more im liking the sound of JE. Still young, done very well with a team that shouldn't be where they are. He rejected Pompey by the way. So maybe a step up in the leagues and somewhere a lot closer might suit him? Worth a look at for sure

Always seemed to be a dedicated player and his rise in management is worthy of note but who in their right mind would take on our lot based on our recent history? I am not impressed with the supposed list of candidates so maybe a rank outsider might be able to do the job but remember I thought DM would do the business - oops.

I'm suspicious of guys who do it in one place - can he do it in a second club?

I guess unless you give someone that chance you would never know

Justin Edinburgh also did it with a supporting chairman, if I remember correctly. Weren't they the ones that were taken over by a lottery winner?

He won't get that support here. Absolutely not. The main prerequisites for a manager for me would be someone that has thrived under an undermining board.

Living over here I get told regularly about JE doing well, and playing good football. So won't be disappointed with that appointment.

People complain about our board saying they know nothing about running a football club.
Ain't that like you or I winning the lottery and buying the club, if you have a good manger arranging the on field activity well and you trust him to spend your money wisely.
