He Ain't Heavy is a great song, but I feel uneasy about competing against a song that's raising money for a children's hospice (the x-factor one) as awful a singer as James Ryan is.
Fair point but I think the songs target different audiences so I doubt it would stop the funds being raised. The X factor song has already sold over half a million and the Hillsborough families have had a 20+ year fight to get to this point. Everyone has their priority charities, for me it's Bliss, but if even a small fraction of the football supporting households in this country spend 99p on the single then that will be a huge help
