Back from the match, bloody hell i thought sat was bad, but this was a complete and utter shambles. the only plus was Nugent got his 1st goal, apart from that we offered absolutely nothing going forward at all. We have a bus load of midfielders, but no firepower at all. Sven dosn't seem to know his best team, let alone his best formation, dont get me wrong, im all for nice passing football, but when there is no end product, its all a bit of a waste of time. this could turn into quite an embarrassing season, the way things are going, but maybe it will stop 1 or 2 of our more vocal fans from giving it the big one on other teams boards, cos it just maybe time to keep our gobs shut for a while, why we sort this sh*t out
Some of your muppets fans have been giving it on our boards for a few weeks now trying to be big time Charlies, I think you will all be getting some stick and then some if you struggle!
we create nothing, we are shocking, we have umpteen midfielder's who have no idea how to operate in a unit, they create nothing, theres no movement for each other. the defence turn the simple art of defending into a shambles, then there is Dyer what the hell is he all about and Waghorn, nearly forgot gally, danns, and St Ledger shocking. was St Ledger not the main stay of a relegated team. SHOCKING. Mark Hughes anyone??
Well I don't know about others, but I have never got too carried away. We have one of the best squads in this league, but not necessarily the best team. Even so, if we don't get an outlet soon, things aren't going to improve. Bringing in Yakubu last season helped with this. We desperately need someone in NOW, even if it's a loan. What is noticable so far is that few of the newcomers have settled straight in. It appears that this is going to take time. We need to be patient.
"Some of your muppets fans have been giving it on our boards for a few weeks now trying to be big time Charlies, I think you will all be getting some stick and then some if you struggle!" That's as maybe, but the likes of those aren't on these boards tonight.
You've got the saviour of Kasper on goal.....oh by the way, he rushes out his goal, defenders even if they are meant to be decent havent a scooby doo what on earth he will do next other than flap like a fat wood pigeon...oops you are ****ed! Average players for **** loads of cash
You utter moron. Kasper has done absolutely nothing wrong so far and one of about 2 players to come out with any credibility tonight. Despite us being royally embarrassed and being a sitting duck for wumming, you just used the only bit of ammunition that would miss, you sad little loser.
Kasper flatters to deceive and the defenders won't trust him. He rushes off his line too much too, which is where he flatters and makes saves, but that's where a defender would normally deal with the dangers. Watch how many times he gets lobbed
hey benlovesleeds you havent started too well either have you remember 1st game of the season cough cough saints thrashed leeds
I won't pretend I watched the game so I won't make any definitive statements on the matter, but the question I raise is this: is Schmeichel just making the glamour saves/punches and looking good, or has he actually found some substance to his game and helped to organize and communicate with the defence? Because it sounds from the posts from Leicester fans on here like the defence is woefully disjointed and could do with a proper communicator behind it making sure they don't put a foot wrong. I might be incorrect having not watched him this season, but I don't think Kasper's the man to do that and I think that is a potential weakness for future matches too, especially if this poor run continues and the defenders' confidence and solidity is shot.
No, our defence isn't really that bad. The individual mistakes have had nothing to do with Kasper. St Ledgers was made just past the halfway line. The penalty had nothing to do with him either. The first goal he could do nothing about. The 2 Reading goals, ditto. If you can blame anything for tonight's goals it's Sven's decision to drop the solid Mills because he had one woeful game, mainly because he kept hoofing it out of play and to the opposition. He was under a lot of pressure on his home debut against his old club, and Sven stupidly made him captain, adding more pressure. It obviosuly got to him. However, he didn't make any defensive howlers and neither did the rest of the back 4. Dropping him for St Ledger will not only smash his confidence but his replacement cost us a point tonight. Terrible decision.
What are you saying? That Kasper looks good to pretend he is good? you complete moron!! haha Our second best player tonight, not because of how he payed because he had two things to do and one he had no chance with and the other was a one on one that he got his hand to. Kasper is excellent at organising his back four and motivating the team.
As I explicitly stated, I'm saying nothing, just posing a question based on my informed opinion of Schmeichel from his time with United. And that opinion is that he'll dive for the easiest of saves to get applause, he'll punch any cross that comes in rather than being boring and just catching it like any other keeper and he'll bollock his defenders and boot the ball into the stands after a goal to make it seem he was in no way to blame and to cringily gain rapport with the fans. If he's a changed man now and has suddenly gained a respect for defenders, in the process learning how to actually communicate with them and arrange the back four, then well done to him. Your poor form would suggest to me that he hasn't been all that, but you're the Leicester fan so I'll let you decide.
And if you could read what we are saying rather than just guess at how he has been performing then you'd know. Kasper has, overall, been our best signing of the summer. He hasn't made a single mistake and has led the team from the back. He is such a talented lad, top 5 keepers in the league easily based on what we have seen.
Excellent. We think exactly the same of Lonergan at this point. I don't recall reading anything from your fans which was about Schmeichel's communication/relationship with defenders, and that was the particular angle I was wanting to discuss, not the rest of his game which I'm sure has been excellent in his first few games, as it was when he was with us.
