feel more down. It's now almost midnight and I had calmed down it is after all only a game as they say but... I've just had a call from my cousin up north a Newcastle fan and he took his little lad to the game today. Spent almost five hours in the A and E Dept... his lad Tommy he's only 9 years old just had 10 stiches put into a head would. HIT by a bottle thrown by a fellow Newcastle fan who was arrested. Whoever you are. YOU SCUM B*****D
Potts sorry to hear that mate and hope that little fellah is ok. Will shake him up for a bit that but hope it does not put him off going games in the future. Must admit Potts sitting in block 10 as I do, Newcastle are amongst the few fans in the premier league that actually throw at opposing fans. That game a few seasons ago when we beat them 4-0 remember my post on here about my mates little lad getting hit by a bottle from Newcastle fans - tossers mate!
Thanks Waddo To be honest I'm really shocked because I spend/have spent many, many happy weekends up there with family. They are usually top notch the Georgies but to throw a bottle in the street mate? What the hell for.. he's also got concussion so, they will probs keep him overnight. To be fair, me Cousin said, lot's of other Newcastle fans helped out and kicked the SCUM before the police got to him... either way I feel for the little guy he's been going to games since he was six. A few morons then there is the REAL fans eh! I'll pass on your best wishes Waddo thanks buddie.
No worries Potts and it's a minority that ruin it for everyone else. Every club has them just like we do ourselves! Like I say hope he is ok mate!
Not at all nice to eake up to. Hope the little guy is recovering. In over 60 years of watch, ing live Rugby Union, I have never witnessed anything like that, and I have been to Gosforth many times. Wonder what it is about football that attracts these people?
Point take Moe. Many years ago, I took my eldest son to a football match, Leicester v Liverpool, he was a big Frank Worthington fan (and why not!!) Inside the ground the violence was bad enough, outside was horrific, I am not ashamed to say that I was absolutely terrified and feared for our safety. My son has never wanted to go to another football match, that was 35 years ago, still goes to Rugby though.
Feel sorry for the lad, thugs like this should be banned and made to report to police stations while games are on.
