and it is blatantly obvious that:-

1). for the 1st goal, Fontaine did not close Wood down and when he finally wandered in his direction, let him past him (doing another one of those pathetic, half hearted back flicks in the process) and Gerken made little effort to save.

2). Gerken flaps at the ball for the second and Fontaine stands still whilst Wood says thank you very much.

3). Clearly visible in in the middle of the penalty area is our no. 4, Fontaine making no effort to close down Wood so he can pick his spot and again, Gerken has questions to answer.

4). Fontaine involved again and beaten way too easily.

IMO, all deliberate and regardless of who the new manager is, SEND THEM HOME AND TELL THEM NEVER TO DARKEN THE DOORSTEP AT AG EVER AGAIN AND PERSONALLY, I WOULD SACK THEM INSTANTLY FOR GROSS MISCONDUCT...

Wow Prem you don't give up do you?? Del has gone, should have gone months ago. What I don't understand is the board makes another error by sacking the manager right in the middle of the January transfer time........only at Bristol City!

I have been saying this for a few weeks now One4 and I never want to see either of these 2 playing for the club ever again, regardless of who the new manager is as in my opinion, they deliberately sabotaged todays game to enhance their chances of keeping their jobs - I thought that at the ground but the TV just reinforces this.

I don't care who they are, thats misconduct and is a sackable offence and they don't deserve a chance under the new man...

I only wish we could do that Prem but you know as well as I do it isn't going to happen, depsite us wanting it. The downward spiral will continue until we rid our club of these self centred morons and bring in a manger who knows how to, and will handle, these scenarios.

Too many niceguy managers have failed and here we are in a right bloody mess.

He picked fontaine knowing how bad he is. His fault just as much as fonts. Glad he's gone

Would be happy never seeing Fontaine or Gerken play another game for us.

No one deliberately makes a mistake or mistakes to get a manager sacked - he is just poor at the moment. This is all down to confidence and in most sports, a mental thing
When your confidence is low, it is difficult to make the correct split decision in a high pressured environment

fontaine at fault for both goals, where chris wood turned and he stuck out a meer leg. then the ball just hit him as he stood there motionless. i hope he gets sacked. worst defender in a city shirt i've ever seen

"When your confidence is low, it is difficult to make the correct split decision in a high pressured environment"

He played himself in to this low confidence, we were playing ok until he suddenly started playing like a pub player, he lost his form when we needed him most and then he started hiding when we needed him most, Captain my arse! he hid when Woods had the ball both times yesterday and he insults my intelligence when he thinks we're so thick we wont notice! nothing stops anybody trying and he stopped trying yesterday.

Mckinnes you brought this on yourself by continuing to play this utter clown and he has kicked you in the bollox in return, you will wake up unemployed today with a family just settled in to a new home not knowing their immediate future!

Fontaine just gets up for training on Monday as if nothing happened..

I was puzzled by Mcinnes post match interview; said he subbed James Wilson because at half time he was changing from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 and James Wilso is not suited to playing in a 4-4-2 formation.

A central defender can surely play in both systems? I know picking Fontaine again was his downfall but what confidence can such a parting remark give to James Wilson who would have been my right sided CB in the team all this season.

Fair comment as I can only go on what I hear on radio, see small snippets on TV and the three live games I've seen this season. But was he as bad as the Muppets, Fonts and Gerks?

James Wilson did not even get told he was in the squad on Friday night let alone playing. Players should always be ready but they should also be prewarned that they are in the squad.

Don't defend a James Wilson hes just as bad as Fontaine. Positional sense is woeful he doesn't know how to pass the ball out and every time he hoofs it up it comes straight back to us. Hes just as **** as the rest of them. League 1 standard at best.

Absolutely terrible defending but I repeat, if my mother had been in goal we'd have gone in 0-0 half time.

Fontaine is dreadful and shouldn't play for us again.

Hopefully a new Manager will suss it straight away. Never been a fan of Gerken either. Both of these players are L1 material and should be let go asap, and not play for the first team again
