As I and others have been called into question about why we are sceptical about what the Allam's say here is a recap on recent events.

    11.5.
HULL City vice chairman Ehab Allam has revealed the club is stretching its search for a new manager across Europe.
Allam says the club has already been "inundated" with applications to replace Nick Barmby at the helm, following his sacking on Monday. Allam added: "We have been inundated with applicants already which is certainly encouraging. Now we intend to spend the next week or so doing our due diligence on the applications, whilst also conducting our own search of wider markets

    15.5.
HULL City intend to draw up a shortlist of managerial targets by the end of this week as they step up their search to find a new boss.
Seven days after curtailing Nick Barmby's six-month reign, the Tigers have begun to sift through a host of candidates who are interested in filling the vacant manager's post at the KC Stadium
Although the Tigers board have made it clear they will take their time to capture the right man, vice chairman Ehab Allam hopes to have a four or five-man shortlist in place this week.
That would pave the way for an interview process to commence next week before an appointment is made by the end of this month, allowing the new boss five weeks' grace before pre-season commences in early July.

I think that is the last time anything came from the Allam's, the rest is speculation with phrases like Allam has been unavailable for comment this week but is known to have placed his focus on nailing down a replacement for Barmby.

Was it all PR spin about being inundated. Interesting about them conducting a wider search of their own which I suspect is what they have been doing. Did anyone honestly think that we would have got to this stage and still not have a manager and still not heard anything directly from the Allams. I know it is their club, they paid for it etc etc but without the supporters and their cash there would not be a club. Owners who shut themselves off from the supporters do not make for a very good feel good factor around the club

Not will, hopes to have. Of course we know we are the greatest club in the world, others dont see it that way. Who can blame Bruce, it it is him we are after, to bide his time for the Norwich job.

Yes speculation because maybe they are actually getting on with the job of finding the right man. Yes they will have been inundated with applications from abroad and at home. A lot will be ex managers or small club managers of lower league teams home and abroad.
The favourite for the West Brom job is Ralph Rangnick (theres a joke there somewhere), ever heard of him?? Me neither. Yet he has a good CV as a coach.

One last point. When we got rid of Dowie on the 9th May care to take a guess how long it took to appoint the **** that is Pearson??

Wow, you really like to play the victim don't you?

Been called into question about being sceptical about the Allams? That doesn't even make sense ffs. If you mean the accusations and counter accusations about supporting or not supporting the Allams, we've done that to death. We also pretty much agreed to disagree. We moved on, there was no point rehashing that.

What was the purpose of this thread again? You think your badly written post actually explains why you were right all along to be sceptical about the Allams? Really? Don't ever harbour any dreams or aspirations to be a lawyer.

Irrespective of whether the Allams were right or wrong to get rid of Barmby do you really want them to make hollow noise like Duffen. I beieve that they are behaving correctly by not naming anybody as a preferred manager until there is a signature on the contract. Unfortunately to some supporters the Allams are damned if they do and damned if they dont. Lets just wait to see who is going to be the new manager before making any further comments.

    What do we want?

For our chairman to come out and say that we are after Negredo and Owen?

Surelt we should do things behind close doors and keep everything in house until we have something sorted?

Listening to Five Live and Talksport last night Steve Bruce is not on the radar for the Norwich City job. Talksport had the Norwich reporter on and he said that it was a choice of Malky Mackay and Neil Lennon with MM being the preferred choice. No mention of Bruce what-so-ever.

Mike White on Humbersides sportstalk friday night said that Bruce was on a family holiday until wednesday. Whatever it is i would like and hope that Allams have told Bruce they wont be messed about. From whats been said about all the PL jobs on offer at the moment Steve Bruce and Mad Mick are not linked to any of them now.

I think we're all sick of this now, lets get the new manager in and hope the owners aren't as clueless as they appear to some people, whilst accepting that some don't mind their actions.

I frequently have my mind refreshed, using shock therapy, my psychiatrist says it's the only way I'll get over my not606 addiction.
