I do believe that some ulcers can be caused by worry and stress, which would fit in well with what you have been going through with the move etc..However, a more likely explanation would be that the constant coughing has caused the internal bleeding. As has been said earlier, the fact that the x rays have shown nothing is a positive sign..
Take care mate, and well done for packing the cigs in..

Good to see you around as always Joe, hopefully this medical problem is nothing serious. You need to keep on top of it and follow the advice of exercising, need to be in top shape to care for your good lady :)

Just watched my dear dad die a couple of months ago to lung cancer. You should be doing back flips getting a clear chest scan. Sounds like ulcers to me and I hope they get it sorted for you.

If you smoke I would highly recommend going on an NHS program. If you call 0800 531 6317 that will put you direct to the Sunderland NHS smoking service. Ask to go on Champix as it has the highest success rate. If you get free prescriptions then it is all free. My company does the marketing for this department and I know them personally. They do great work.

My dad was 6'2" and made of muscle but lung cancer (or should I say an infection caught during chemo) took him out in 8 months. It was small cell lung cancer which it pretty much exclusive to smokers. I got him to quit 8 years ago.

If you smoke Joe, get it sorted. Best of luck.
