Now then lads.. Nice to be back, got my move over with and about 90% of the problems that came with it but got there in the end and family settled. Typical Joe sombre thread though and looking for a gee up and anyone else that is or has gone through the coughing up blood stuff that can offer something that stops the worries. About 4 weeks now I've coughed up large amounts of blood, mainly on a morning mixed in with phlegm but enough for it to be pure red. My chest x-rays have come back clear as have blood tests but this blood and the amount are fekkin scary. Getting a camera down in a week or two so hopefully find out more then. Anyone else ever had this? It's like a niggly cough that won't go away. I've spent that long looking after the other two that I've sort of neglected my own **** but ffs, it's staring at me every morning now..
sounds like an ulcer ,if your x rays show no shadows its a good sign, stress bad diet etc . can cause it, in the mean time its hard but stop black thoughts if you can , bless
Hello fella, sad to hear you're not well. You should stay on top of your health no excuses mate. You're an essential cog in an intricate system. No more shirking. Hope it turns out to be just an ulcer as stu says. Sounds like you need to quit smoking as well Was an absolute pleasure to meet you Joe. You're a top bloke. Hope everything is well with family and that you're settling well. P.S I've Shaved my Brian Blessed off. please log in to view this image
Good to have you back on VJ. Like the posts above say could be a number of contributory factors but let the docs do their job and get yourself sorted. Hope everything goes well.
you've had more than a few stressful years mate, bus as stu and Bri say, could well be an ulcer and smoking tabs won't be helping. Need to try and manage the stress a bit better with better eating, diet, exercise and the rest. Came close to have pretty big problems with ulcer formation good few years ago, and all about changing diet and stress management. Its all very manageable once you get your head round it, but good luck with the docs diagnosis fella.
Highlight of our weekend meeting you mate can't believe you have lost the St Bernard look, it was sort of you if you know what I mean..
Cheers lads, was told I had a dormant gastric ulcer a few years back but just thought my doctor at the time was a tit. I do believe though that you vomit blood up with an ulcer? I'm coughing it up from the chest, throat area.. QWOP's right, stopped smoking after the Everton match..
Wouldn't dare speculate on medical issues Joe, I get everything wrong as it is mate. Take care of yourself. Not many as highly regarded as you.
Good too see your back on here, giz a text or preferibly a bell sometime, would be nice to hear from you in the real world!!
