Been on Talksport all morning asking why at 3-0 Pardew didn't just 'bring on the big man, Shola' and try and score. He's said this at least twice now. Tells you everything about his observational skills really. Then again, you have Keegan saying the same thing at half-time, and Champion making the snide remark about Pardew not bringing Shola on 'because he's not French'. The mind boggles.

They had Steve Howey on earlier questioning Debuchy's fight, basically asserting he got sent off as he didn't want to be on the pitch anymore. It's a disgustingly xenophobic comment to make - he'd never have said this if it had been Simpson in that position. Furthermore, Howey can hardly talk since he was never a great defender and was an integral part of the side who blew a 12-point lead.

The 'too many Frenchies' thing has also come up several times. Yes, because throwing Simpson, Saylor, Williamson and Shola in now would really ease our plight wouldn't it? They forget the teams who go down are usually made up of mostly British players anyway. Where someone is from has nothing to do with it. Yes possibly these guys need more time to settle and adapt, but it doesn't help when they're being managed by a complete buffoon.

Well we need to question the effort of the likes of Saylor and Ameobi as well. And when you start questioning the effort of the entire team you have to look to the manager.

Yeah Shola would sorted it out.................**** me senseless. Have to say though I'm struggling to see what all the fuss was about with Debuchy. Looks pretty average. Singling him out as lacking heart is not on. To a man they lacked heart and have done all season. Undoubtedly the manager has to take his share but I think the players are no where near blameless. Cabaye and Sissoko were an embarrassment to the shirt yesterday, looking for somewhere to hide.

We shouldn't be judging some of these guys after 10 games, and especially under this manager. It took Colo a season to adjust.

It also tells you everything that under Pardew some players are going backwards - Santon, Tiote, Cisse, etc. It's no coincidence that the likes of Gouffran, Sissoko and Debuchy aren't matching their early displays. The buck stops with the manager. He isn't inspiring confidence in anybody.

For me any successes are down to a combination of things board, manager, coaches, players and fans. 4 of those have underperformed this season so I'm not putting it solely on the manager. These guys are international footballers earning huge amounts of money. They have played like a bunch of spineless twats and there is no way I'm excusing them to try and pretend its all the managers fault. Like him they have underperformed.

Agree. At least Debuchy did show some passion and willingness to get involved - unfortunately it led to him being sent off.
