Putting aside that they may not come to us what would you do. I don't want Suarez to leave but every player must have a price so who would it be.

A money + Dzeko deal perhaps isn't so far fetched, maybe not 50mill, but somewhere around 10/15. I'd turn it down. Suarez is key to the way we play. Edin couldn't fulfil the same role as Luis and we couldn't buy someone to be the creative source that he is for 15mill only. Realism aside: 50+ Dzeko, probably, but it depends on who is available for that money who'd come to us. Has to be someone to replace Luis in the false 9 role and quality players in that position are few and far between. 50+ Aguero, hell yes.
It would require an undisclosed deal to be fair otherwise said clubs with the Falcaos,Messi,etc would just want £50mil + an extra 50% to try and bend us over the barrel with valuations.
Fair points but, if we took Dzeko and used the £50m to get a new false number nine, how would Dzeko fit into the side? He can't play in a wide position so do we change the system? £50m + Dzeko would be hard to turn down but I would purely on the points above. No point in having a player the doesn't fit. Either ask for pure cash or a different player.
Yeah I like dzeko think he is far better than Balottelli and would be happy to see him play for us but don't know where he would fit in. Maybe just go cash and get two lethal strikers...what about Soldado? villa? Higuin?
Dzeko would only work if Rodgers was prepared to go to a 4231 with Suso or Gerrard behind him. With the £50m I would want to see a quality RW and a top CM arrive. Of course, selling one player and bringing in two or three means much more outlay on wages so we probably wouldn't see £50m worth of arrivals
Since this is basically a fantasy signing thread, I'd love Neymar. He can play from one of the wide positions, would score goals and allow Suarez to continue in the FN9 spot.
