QPR TILL I DIE ‎"QPR fans are just getting to know me...I started an airline with 2 planes, I've been through SARS, bird flu, tsunamis, earthquakes, terrorism, airports closed for 7 days. Relegation isn't going to scare me. Its a long-term project and Rome wasn't built in a day and along the way there's going to be hiccups but when you look back over 15-20 years I think we'll be proud of what we achieve so NO, I'M NOT GOING TO RUN AWAY. We have amazing fans and week in week out, through disappointment, through joy, they have been an amazing group of people. I got a bit of a hard time on Neil, but we were open, transparent, we were able to answer questions, and I'll never change that view, both positive and negative. I'm not just going to talk about the good things. But I have to say that QPR players, manager and the owners of the club are blessed with amazing fans. Its easy to be a fan when you win everything, its a lot harder and a lot more value to me when things are not going well. Thats when you see the true value of support and QPR are blessed with amazing supporters who have been there through thick and thin and I'll do my best to reward their faith in this wonderful club." Top top man in my book about an hour ago Keith Archer anyone else fancy bankrolling the club and getting abuse ? not sure what else the guy can do , he's put money in , is open to the fans and seems to take it personally when we lose , but still gets grief ! don't get it at all about an hour ago Mark Barton Yes he is jimmy & he's brought in people that get the same results as when warnock was here... Talk is cheap & legend is far from a word i would use! Would i swap him? No - i'm hoping we will finally now have some stability within the club. All i'm saying is - he is no QPR legend as yet. 42 minutes ago
For an owner who's said to be about to jump ship after 5 minutes, Tony sure ain't talking like a quitter (and this isn't the first time we're hearing rallying cries like this from him). Geezer's clearly a leader and one most football fans would die for. If Rangers are worth anything atm, it's the quality of our owners. If you'd told me last summer we'd be relegation fodder but with owners like this, it would have settled my aching soul. Them Goons were murders waiting to happen. Well done Tone. Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm cool (till teatime Saturday)!
I don't think there is a club in the whole of Britain who would not wish for a Tony Fernandes, we are blessed with greatness. Whatever happens this season our future will be assured soon. This man is the real deal, we are so fortunate. I hope we stay up, it will show the true measure of the man. If that is not to be , we shall be back the season after next with everything in place for consolidation to move forward. Good times.
