I'm a Liverpool fan... but I am not being the usual bias here, just because of the rivalry, I feel in my heart of hearts, that if a decent man had overtaken Liverpool's record, I would applaud him. Ferguson has his skills, but all this "putting on sun glasses as he bends over" is way over the top.

Ferguson's career is based on unpleasant personality traits, being tenacious, narrow minded, arrogant and above all, being a bully. Is dishing out the "hair-dryer" any way to treat any other human being? Who has the right to scream at another person? It is actually a crime outside of the dressing room, but like most things in football, it appears to escape the arm of the law. yet all the pundits joke and smile about it, as if it's a good thing, or because it's "sir" alex, it's acceptable?

Ferguson saved his career from the void by buying Cantona, without the Frenchman, the man U team would not have gelled, and Ferguson would have been shown the door the following year. So OK he had the awareness to go get Cantona, and I won't take that away from him. Quite how he got Cantona is beyond me, who sells their top player to their biggest rivals? I can never comprehend how and why Leeds did that, but it was their stupidity that kick started Ferguson's reign.

Now Ferguson being successful doesn't bother me, I have listed the qualities that have driven him to do what he has done. That doesn't bother me, but it is all this singing and dancing by the media, as if he is some sort of God that gets to me. Alan Hansen's comments on the man have really sickened me, and for an ex-Liverpool legend, he should hand his head in shame, to say "He is unparalleled in English football" when you compare Ferguson to Bob Paisley. The only thing Ferguson has is longevity. Yes the number of things he has won if impressive, but how many years has he been there? Compare that to What Bob did in a quarter of the time, and yet there is jockey shaming himself with his groundless adulation of such an unpleasant man.

And that brings me to the elephant in the room, Ferguson is such an odious individual, but because he is an institution, all the media look up to him. There are only four managers I despise, Ferguson, Sam Allardyce, Neil Warnock and Graham Souness. Now the fact that Souness is in there, should speak to the lack of bias in my list, and whatever teams Sam Allardyce, Neil Warnock is never of concern to me. The four of them are simply unpleasant individuals. yes they may do charity work and like kittens and help old people across the road, but at their cores, all four of them are unpleasant, and it does not take much to bring that side of their nature to the surface.

Keeping it on topic, The obvious charges against Ferguson are getting off with driving violations, bungs to his son (alleged), not talking to the BBC for talking about the alleged bungs, that shady stuff with the two Irish race horse owners, who appeared to have enough dirt on hum to make him drop his court case against them. The fact that he now has the arrogance to think he doesn't need to do press conferences when he loses (another personality failing, he's a spoilt brat).

I think that the main reason for Liverpool resentment is that this odious individual gets a knighthood, and only because "New" labour wanted to be down with the people, the common man, and because Sir Bob was a god under the "old chums" tory government, the record books get skewed even more.

So yes applaud the man for not knowing when to give up, but don't be elevating him to some mythical god, it's embarrassing.
