I remember been ridiculed for saying Sunderland should steer well clear of Geordies when I stated that about a year ago. However, with Chopra, Clarl, Bruce and Graham (who is blameless but just rubbish), has anyone changed their minds? So geordies at the club yes or no?

I've always thought the Geordie thing to be utter bollocks. A good deal of our fan base are Geordies and throughout our history there have been many Geordies associated with our club who were both successful and admired.

Is anyone telling me that they wouldn't want the likes of Messi, Ronaldo or Bale at our club if they were born on Tyneside?

    I wholeheartedly disagree with it.

AJ is coming good, and I personally would take Carroll in a flash.

It's possible that we will move for Fraser Foster if Mignolet leaves, and I'd be more than delighted with that.

If someone is good enough, and mentally strong enough, it isn't an issue.

Remember as well, Clarky never let us down on the pitch, he was committed and our best, most influential player at the time.

I'd rather we avoided them but what about Len Shackleton, Don Hutchinson and Jack colback to name a few?

Tbf, there's not many chopra's in this world, the cretin!

Any potential nufc supporting player needs properly sounding out around their professionalism, couldnt give 2 hoots tbh but its always a niggle, through the academy is a different kettle of anchovies though, no doubt whatsoever

Its not a geordie issue its a b&w issue.

I wouldn't trust another b&w supporting footballer player to wear the red & white so long as I have a whole up my arse. Would rather paint my knob fish colour and dangle it in a piranha infested swamp.

Its a massive no for me however good they are, as they will always **** us over in the end.

There's a great picture of Johnson Colback and Graham celebrating Vaughans goal against Newcastle. The op might like to seek it out.
