Just out of interest, since we got promoted to the PL, how many of the other boards below us do you visit, if any. And i don't mean the binners board to wind them up. Recently, I have been looking at the posh board, Watford, Pompey, Wycombe, Charlton and Gillingham boards amongst others. They have some great ideas for threads on some of those boards. Also, it does help remind me just how lucky we are with our team and the board.
Never been on any other board and don't intend to. Good luck to other clubs, its a shame not every club and its supporters can be happy but I have no interest in any other team or its supporters views. While JWM and crew come on, we know that its TIC and they are fairly similar to us. I don't know for the life of me why posters like Beefy would want to go on other boards and rile them up. The least amount of people who dislike me the better. I remember during the old 606 days, one of our lot going on the Leeds board winding them up with anti war outbursts following the deaths of two lads from the Yorkshire regiment. Why?
Yeah, the 3 thug brigades! Most of them are just great CS, a few bell-ends in the Leeds rabble but most are fine. The Wallies and redbirds/bluebirds are quality mate. I don't visit to wum, just talk football and in most cases about their team etc. I am 100% NCFC but I love football in general as well, like to be sociable so see no reason to not talk spread myself about a bit. Maestro only asked about the teams below us - from those above I visit Swansea a fair bit and less often Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Sunderland & Fulham, and to an even lesser extent these days QPR (for reason well known to most of us on here). If other boards were more active I have no doubt I would visit many of them too
don't really go to non-PL boards now, except if one our players goes on loan to one of them. Do keep an eye on Swansea, Saints and Newcastle, and previously QPR (don't bother now). also fulham is good, although they don't have that many members.
Rarely bother, precious little banter or meaningful contribution on most (Wigan has tumbleweed blowing around it ). Maybe one of our rivals just before or after we play them to gauge reaction/predictions etc.
It's amazing how little some of the club's boards get used. I remember a while ago thinking how the Ipswich board was becoming a closed group and that it was the same handful of posters on a regular basis (which is the same for every active board I would imagine) and then looking at some of the boards in the Championship and some haven't had any posts since for over 12 months! I often look at this board (obviously) never to WUM but to see how thing are, as I'm a rarity in that I quite like to see Norwich doing well other than that I keep myself to my own clan and occasionally look on the odd board pre or post match.. often to congratulate them on the hammering they have just given us...
My son supports Arsenal, one of my daughters supports Coventry and my Grandson supports Crawley so I look at their boards although, apart from Arsenal, it is a bit of a waste of time. As mentioned above, not606 has only really caught on with a minority of Clubs but for most Clubs contributions are sparse. Under the old 606 most Clubs had very active boards and i enjoyed many exchanges of views with Coventry supporters, in particular, but look at their not606 board. I suppose the problem was that with the demise of 606 several alternatives sprung up and whilst not606 appears to have emerged the strongest many potential contributors have disappeared in the splintering. Even Mikey and his facts appear to have disappeared and we don't hear a lot from Monarch ( who spoke a lot of sense if he didn't get carried away ) either. We have even lost active 606 contributors from our board. I hope things pick up as unlike Redruth, who I usually agree with, I do like to visit other boards of Clubs I have an interest in just to keep up to date with what is going on. Talking of Redruth and other Clubs - any more news on Truro?
I'll occasionally check some boards out to gauge fan opinion, or visit the QPR board if I need cheering up. I think some boards are pretty empty because the fans from 606 made the decision together to go elsewhere.
Unlike Lincoln, they are doing worse than before. The financial problems won't be going away but are delayed because of availability of courts for hearings etc. Most of the good players have left, the only ones left are local apart from that Indecribable piece of crud called Luke McCormick. Even if they didn't have a 10 point deduction they would be rock bottom. Southern League Premier awaits but I have my doubts whether they will stop there.
The clue is in the post! Mind you by the looks of things she wouldn't have any one else to talk to without you and Dave!
If you've got something to say JWM, then say it. If not then shut up and take your stupid drivel elsewhere.
I couldn't give a toss what he and anyone else thinks to be honest Dave. With the **** that has gone on the past few days, I am seriously thinking about jacking this whole lot in. I can see where Thai was coming from and tbh mate, I just don't need this **** from twats who think they know me.
As an addition just to show how sport is so bloody barmy nowadays, Falmouth Rugby Club who now in the scheme of things are little more than a junior club cannot promise to fulfil their fixtures because THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY THEIR PLAYERS! Give me strength, doesn't anyone play sport because they love it anymore.
Alright calm down it was just a gentle leg pull and I meant nothing by it. I apologise if it has caused offence but I thought as we have had enough harmless banter in the past this would be laughed off just like the rest.
I have played a high standard of football at a local level and even there money talks, players were moving from their £30 a week to go and play somewhere else to get £50 or £60 sometime £100+ and I must admit, having been paid that amount to then stop getting payed even though it had (obviously) never been my main source of income I had to make an adjustment and now I play solely because I enjoy (most of the time) and it's a great way for me to keep fit. But if you are using sport as your main income and that dries up understandably the players are a bit peeved but there is no excuse to stop playing in my opinion.
