He's fast becoming my favourite Arsenal player. The kid is living the dream right now - from his bedroom when he was little, to this, he's a true Gooner; from a family of Gooners. He's talented, humble, and conscientious, and I really don't think you can help but like him.

What a hero. I really hope he stays for his whole career and goes on to be an absolute legend for the Club.

Along with Wilshere, Szczesny, Frimpong. We are developing a core of die hard Arsenal players. We've not see these sorts of players who will give everything for the cause since the likes of Ljungberg, Parlour, Adams and Henry

Talking about Frimpong, he has returned from his unsuccessful loan spell with Charlton.

Frimpong can maybe use his "die hardness" to serve the other players drinks, no way in hell will he make it at Arsenal. If he does make it it will only mean we will have fallen back a lot in a couple of years.

Like I've said, I really don't know how he's warranted the kind of hype around him that he gets even mentioned in the same sentence as Wilshere. I mean I know he types stupid quotable **** on twitter, but I can only remember 1 performance where he wasn't shockingly bad.

So your opinion of him is basically the same one you have of Walcott <whistle>

More of a fair comparison of how I rate him, but still not close. Miquel may turn out OK eventually, once we see more of him. He's been shown to be out of his league even against lower sides, but there wasn't anything there that says he has the fundamentals missing.

Frimpong on the other hand is terrible at the basic attributes that he should be good at as a DM. Just 'physicality' doesn't cut it. (Even there he's not 'aggressive', he's reckless.)

If the consensus was that he has been disappointing so far but "let's see" I wouldn't even comment. But when you get all that hype about him you have to wonder what exactly he's shown to deserve it. Try to rate his performance as an outsider, and honestly I don't know how anyone can say that his 'average' performance level hasn't been shockingly bad.

    Disagree with that.

He got sent off versus Liverpool in his first game and he's earned the 'reckless' tag, when in fact some of his performances were actually really mature for a young tough tackling DM. He's also shown that he's got good penetration and wants to move the ball forward. He's far from the finished product, but I think he's shown enough so far to suggest that he could be just the type of player that we need. I know he's a loudmouth and twitter fiend, but I think you're confusing that with his performances on the pitch, which whilst sparse, have been decent.

You will forgive me if i contain my joy at such a pic.

We ALL saw the pic of TDC* in his bedroom in an Arsenal shirt and walls full of Arsenal stuff.

It looks good but he does that as a young man .

It dont take long for them to start listening to their agent instead of their heart , then he'll just put up another plaque that says " sorry grandad , business is business. "

IMO I think that if he was not an arsenal player a lot of gooners would think he was a clogger. I saw him v spurs for wolves...could have seriously injured someone with what I can only call reckless tackling. Far do if you don't agree but I am surprised that he is so highly rated.

Jenkinson though is a very good player...reminds me of a young ashley cole

He is also 2 years older than Jenkinson. So has had two years more to develop. Walker was playing in the championship when he was 20 years old. Jenkinson has been playing in the premier league and was nothing short of brilliant at the start of the season, before he was unfairly dropped. With Sagna's dip in form, Jenkinson is in line to get another chance and I suspect he will take it and become our first choice right back by the end of the season.

Sorry my comment was a bit of a wum. From what I've seen (obviously less then you guys) he does seem a good player with great potential. You have a good nucleus of young English players coming through which is nice to see from the National teams point of view. Very much looking forward to the next NLD I hope that both sides have all their big players fit and there are no sendings off completely changing the game! ;-)

Jenkinson ****s on every English RB in this league. Purely for the fact that he can defend and doesn't leave his position overly exposed.

I haven't seen much of Kyle Walker last year when he was supposedly good, but this year he's been one of their main defensive liabilities every game.

I'm pretty sure Jenkinson will turn out the better player.

Zlatan - no he doesn't. He's England's fourth choice right back and then you have other foreign right backs who are better than him like Rafael or Ivanovic etc. A big part of a full backs game in the modern era is to support the attack so there needs to be a balance between that and defending. You cant just say as he's good at defending he's the best right back. He may be better than all these players long term but not at the moment, no way.
