Its not a Bruce in or Bruce out thread, loads of those, its more basic IMO.

The next ten days are a critical ten days for our club and if Quinn and Short get it wrong then who the manager is will be irelivant, again IMO.

I believe we have the basis of a very good team providing we keep everyone fit and play the best players in their best positions, cue the but Bruce wont chants.

I also believe that we played well at Liverpool, should and could have won on Saturday and should and could have won last night. The reason we lost both was not down to defenders and goalkeepers, they didn’t help mind, was not down to midfielder it was all down to one thing, we don’t have a goal scorer.
On Saturday I watched us create the chances and fail to take them.
Last night I listened to the radio and heard Garry Bennett say if we had a goal scorer we would have had 2 or 3 first half.

Again its just my opinion but bring in Moyes, MON, Murenio or SAF and they will not succeed unless we find a goal scorer. I am as baffled as everyone else about Bruce and his team selection, even more so after his email and him saying we took the game seriously and sent a team out that proves that, like I say, baffled. But Bruce in or out is not my call, all I can do is back SNQ and his judgment and hope he gets it right.

I have no idea who we get to score the goals, we have a posse of highly paid scouts and backroom staff who get paid to find the answer.

I have no idea how we find the cash to buy that player when found, SNQ and Short should know the answer to that.

My part is to pay my £500 each year then turn up and support, I try and do both so my part of the deal is done.

If the club do their part over the next 10 days we have a chance, regardless of who the manager is.

If they don’t, again IMO, a new manager will not help, he cant score the goals.

10 days to save our season, IMHO.

Don't know which match Gary Bennett was watching but it wasn't the game at Amex stadium Brighton. B'ton strung better passes together with more penetration than we had, yeah we had a few good moves but over the 120 minutes probably only two good efforts on goal. if we could have had 2 or 3 goals first half B'ton could have had 5 or 6.

Hi as I am fully paid up member of BoB and I have posted the reasons why several times, I will not repeat all of the issues I have with SB here but I will stress the point Syd has made.
I cannot recall how many games we have lost/won/drawn in say the last 20/5, including last season and warms like, but we are in relegation form as we are struggling to score goals and have, as yet, not replaced Bent. There is actually nothing wrong and plenty right with the players brought in during this close season. However if there is no more money left for a proven striker and an attacking left footed player, then we have been monumentally stupid not to have filled the more urgent vacancies first.
    My case rests!

What has Bruce to do with this thread, its about a striker and nothing to do with defending Bruce.

I think we will struggle this season, will be in the bottom 7 teams. There is nothing wrong with our team up until our strikers. I cannot see where our goals are going to come from. After a few games of pre-season Bruce thinks Sessgnon is a striker. Sorry to say but Sessegnon shooting is woeful. 3 goals last season for Sessegnon, 1 a penalty, 1 a decent goal and 1 a sh*t shot from long range which the keeper should of saved.

While this is not a Bruce thread, I do think because of the lack of strikers, our form will be bad and he will go...

Thats why I think the next ten days are vital, Gyan and Sess can scoe spectacular goals, Gardner and Larssen can score great goals. We need to bring in a poacher who just scores, of his arse will do me.
