It's very close at the top this year, anyones guess who will go up still. To think, we were 17 points clear of 3rd on 89 & already promoted at this point last year. No reason we can't repeat that ( I'm resigned to thinking we'll be in the Championship) if we keep a good number of the squad.
I don't think the top 8 is that close because they're all really good... I honestly think the standard must be quite poor! Our squad is a mile better than every one of those. IF we go down, who are we really going to lose? Mahrez will be off, you can almost guarantee it. Kramaric probably, too. This is a standard lineup which smashed the league the other season... Schmeichel De Laet -- Moore -- Morgan -- Konchesky Knockaert -- Drinkwater -- James -- Schlupp Nugent -- Vardy Anybody there who'd be off? Potentially Schlupp. We also now have Albrighton and Ulloa, neither of which I'm sure will leave. We'll get a decent wedge in parachute payments, so FFP won't be a problem in plugging any gaps. I'm almost looking forward to next season already
Like others have said, its a great season for the "so near yet so far" clubs to scrape into the prem because there aren't any stand out teams in it this year.
