The fact that barca and real only make about 2 million in match day tickets is nothing to them. that would probably cover the wages of 2 players a month!

All there financial revenue comes from massive sponsors and tv coverage unlike rovers who's budget is based on average attendances and a raffle for a sponsor!

We need tickets to be at that price for two reasons.

    1. For the club to survive.
    2. To be competitive in the transfer market.

    Fair comment Danny.

    And then there is this.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29624410

Borussia Dortmund only charge £9, and have refused to put up prices of beer, shirts etc for 3 years. It shows what a rip-off top flight football is in this country, when English fans are finding it cheaper to fly to Germany and watch a top match than go and watch the likes of Arsenal Chelsea etc - especially when you consider that the TV rights money in this country must be several times bigger than it is over here. It doesn't seem to be doing them any harm though ! Interesting.

I like this bit on the 1st link....

"And why are Barcelona and Real Madrid on a par with Bristol Rovers"

They are on par with us and not us on par with them :)

When we get UWE stadium and then move up the leagues into the prem then of course champions league, we will be use to seeing this phrase!! <laugh>
